My go to chippy. Generous portions, always tasty and food get delivered quickly. The homemade rissoles are the best thing on their menu though 👍

The best homemade rissoles that I've ever tasted, he really has perfected his recipe. The owner is a lovely bloke and the stuff are great too.

Excellent freshly cooked fish and chips. Slice of lemon, always good. Sightly odd pink tartar sauce, tasted like blended coleslaw but not unpleasant. The ordering process was a bit puzzling and the waiting area quite small and crowded on our visit.Hikary's faces stiff competition from Shillingford's just a few doors away, which has a better organised service, but there's not much to choose between them and it's really great to have two excellent quality fish bars so close to each other.

Large fish seems to be shrinking,,had a tartare sauce from there last night and it was half the size it used to be,,I won’t be ordering from them again,my pot of tarter sauce was tiny,,and you say my fish was cut smaller,,,still charged the same price though,,,90p for an eyeful of sauce,,daylight robbery,,you’ve lost my 3 times a week custom

I have been calling here regular and always food is wonderful and staff very helpful but today the member of staff who served me well her attitude towards me as a paying customer was shocking she was very rude and dismissive no please or thank you and basically nearly threw my receipt at me I have worked in retail and if I was this rude to customers i would have been on a warning the shop was quiet so not even the excuse it was busy the customer always comes first and you treat them politely and not as if they are wasting your time disgraceful behaviour

Underwhelming. Seeing as it's won awards we thought we'd travel and give it a go.....probably shouldn't have bothered. Service was good, polite, friendly staff.Not cheap, 3 sausages, 1 pie and 2 large chips and a curry £16.The chips didnt taste particularly fresh and I didnt love them.Battered sausage was a bit soggy.Large chips -potion size was very good.Overall, glad we tried it but won't go back.

Absolutely terrible, had food delivered from here, food was cold, fish was tasteless and we had missing items, phoned the restaurant to ask can we have the missing item delivered and was told point blank no, we had to take it up with uber eats, even though the mistake was with the restaurant itself as they cooked, packaged and missed the items from our delivery but yet they told us to take it up with the delivery company? Shocking. Will never order from here again

Hikarys fish bar in Neath has got to be one of the best fish and chips shop in Wales. It's a well organised shop with a good store room, very clean prep areas and the staff and food are outstanding. Single yellow line parking outside of the shop. Wheelchair friendly but not mobility scooters. Well worth stopping off for a bite to eat.

Super tasty, 😋 super fresh chips. My husband waited while they actually cooked the fish and chips. Fresh! It was not sitting around in the warmer waiting for customers to buy.The portions of chips are huge and the fish is served in in a lovely box with their logo on it..Definitely recommend that you pay them a visit.😍The entrance is wheelchair friendly.Did l say super tasty 😋☺️

The food here was really good, but the service is what has let their score down. They may have been busy which is understandable but customer service is important and is something they should do their best to improve. Greet your customers how you would like to be greeted. They didn't even communicate to the Uber eats driver who was waiting and in a hurry (the food was ready but they didn't communicate so he was held up for no reason).
