Really pleasant restaurant, meals are good and competitively priced. There is a very pretty outside seating area too.

Tasty food relaxed atmosphere any time of day, doesn't matter if you're in walking boots either🙂 we've tried variety of dishes ,pasta, fish and roasts all been really good👍desserts look lush as do the cocktails. Added points fab decaf coffee with flavour🙌

Mussels were not fresh, tasted off and had a rubbery texture. Our table sent 2 full £9 bowls back, and were very polite but stated we simply couldn’t eat the dish. There was no check in to see if it was ok (because they were understaffed which I understand) Our food was taken to the chef who informed us the mussels are fresh and therefore all they could offer was a free desert or a free round of drinks. Which didn’t make up for us not eating any of our main meals. The reaction by staff was hostile and no apology was issued. If the food was just not up to bar I would not have complained however we simply couldn’t eat them. Will not be returning again.

Beautiful food, beautiful wine, beautiful atmosphere, what more could be asked for? Thoroughly enjoyed tonight's visit and will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Very good pub/cafe with a decent menu, loads to choose from. Friendly and welcoming staff and a great atmosphere inside.Large carpark opposite makes parking easy and very accessible establishment. Large TV on the wall in the main dining area.I had the Southern Fried Chicken Burger which came with fries, it was really good! Very tasty and cooked to perfection!Decent outdoor seating area if the weather in the Brecon area ever lends itself to sitting outside! Great selection of cakes and pastries as well if you fancy going straight to dessert!Fast efficient service and reasonably priced as well. Perfect after a day of hill walking! Totally recommend you visit here, they also have a decent range of coffees and cocktails should the mood take you.

Booked a table for lunch before walking up to the Falls. A lovely setting with friendly staff. Very well presented restaurant area and brilliant food. Well worth booking in advance so not to be disappointed as they get busy. Highly recommended.

Stayed at Sgwd Gwladys for three nights and it was perfect. The staff were polite, friendly and always happy to help. The food was fantastic, well presented and tasted phenomenal. The room was cosy and had everything we needed. Can’t wait to stay again.

·

Nice location and attentive service. But the fayre was incredibly limited with only burger or chips on the menu, got fleeced ÂŁ5 to park there and then had a cacophony of noise when a stag and hen party marched in and got seated/spread across the whole dining area.

Absolutely gorgeous scenery. Easy walk from The Angel pub to Sgwd Gwladys waterfall. Plenty of on road parking and walk clearly signposted.Coffee shop across the road from The Angel. Just wish I started earlier to carry on the walk to Sgwd yr Eira. Will definitely be back to do it again. This walk is suitable and easy for people of all ages as not too strenuous. Quite muddy in places due to rain in the week but no issues with the correct footwear on

A wonderful fall and one that is very popular. Path to it is easy enough, if a little muddy at times, and on the the left bankside going upstream a viewing platform for the fall is in place.Fir a closer look go back to the confluence of the two rivers, cross and bear left taking you to the fall and access to a position above the fall .. great view if you do not suffer from vertigo. As always when in the countryside dress sensibly to suit the weather forecast and wear stout footware and you’ll be fine.Enjoy
