Beefeater Grill in Newport

Bar staff great 04.04.22 the lady on welcoming was the most negative person I have ever met I was told I couldn’t have a table for two hours asked to sit in bar and order to be told it would be the same amount of time. Ordered and started arrived in 15 mins and main just after I had finished starter. See it can be done if you want it too. Re education of customer service required. I heard this negative attitude to more customers who also got served in good time.

Decent pint and scran. Asked for medium rare, came out rare but no fuss, sent back and returned perfect. Nice recovery, chef!

We used the Premier Inn for a stop over on a trip to mid Wales and used this Beefeater attached. The service and quality of the evening meal was excellent. One of the best cooked steaks I have ever had at a Beefeater. The breakfast was not quite the same in both service and quality. However this was still good.

Had Christmas lunch here. First time I have ever gone out for lunch on Christmas day. Food was excellent, staff were so friendly and attentive, atmosphere was very chrismassy. Enjoyed by all and would highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff who gave up their own Christmas day to serve us!

Food and drinks as usually, but the staff are one of the best what I meet until now. Congratulations!

I called in here for my dinner when delivering nearby. I ordered a house salad with salmon fillet, it was outstanding!

Have been many times before the pandemic and its been very good. Went for a birthday treat and I was very disappointed in the food. The chicken had a funny taste and the coleslaw too. The portions were small and the corn on the cob had just 3 lines of corn. The bacon was missed from one meal. The service was good though.

Good food..nice and hot. Friendly staff. Very happy with my meal.

Slow service, not terribly clean. Food was good, although had to ask for missing side dish. Had ran out of Sunday Roast (evening sitting) Two of my party said their food could have been hotter. Understaffed? Staff that did serve were friendly.

We had a lovely birthday meal, all of us really enjoyed our meals and puddings, including the kids, great service, our waitress was very friendly. I highly recommend this Beefeater, we will definitely be coming again.
