Man of Gwent in Newport

Decent pub, friendly staff, value for money food. Great place for family outings if you don't want to break the bank, good selection of beers.

Had a great lunch. 2 meals for £10.99!! Not skimpy ones either. Great value for money and very tasty

Food wasn't great found a piece of plastic in my sandwich. However the staff member did offer me a replacement. We did wait a very long time for drinks to be served, I understand it was busy as it was match day but the staff didn't seem too happy and were over stretched.

Brilliant service and very welcoming. 5 stars. Will definitely be returning. Excellent food at great prices.

The Man of Gwent has always been a great pub. As it is now, it serves good food and a variety of good beers & lagers at a good price. It is always friendly, whether your out with your mates or family or even if your passing whilst walking the dog. Service is great, as are the staff. Some of the meal challenges are well worth a go, especially as there is 25% off on a Friday. Book to make sure you get a table.

Eat your heart out London pubs. The menu, apologies for bad quality pics, are unbelievable. And the service is typical South Wales wonderful hospitality. Also, Fuller and Green Man pubs in London, look at the prices. And I know about rents, etc ... but .... If you driving through Wales ... come off the M4 and visit the Man of Gwent.
