Mcdonald's Restaurants in Newport

Struggling to cope with level of customers. The introduction of the ordering app seems.to have tipped service over the edge with staff rushed off their feet and minimal attention to the till/front desk. Food was usual standard or McDonalds but when we had left we noticed the dips we ordered were not in the bag. Marginally better than Magor services but not great and well below the usual standard at other branches.

Perfectly fine if they're open when they say they will be! Many mornings I'll exit the motorway for a lil' brekkie and everything's closed up! Want my advice? Go to magor instead.

Great, happy, friendly bunch in there. Squeezed 3 adults and 9 kids in, in VERY short notice. Even got the order right ( which is rare compared to other McDonald's) . Best McDonald's in the Newport area by far.Thankyou guys 👌.

What can you say about McDonalds? It was as expected, drive through was used and service was fine. Food was again as you'd expect.You know what you're going to get at a McDonalds, unless it goes drastically wrong then you know what to expect.Expectations were met.

Shame I can't give zero stars... disgusting service! I use the term service loosely, after waiting over 15 minutes and seeing the big mac I ordered DROPPED and picked up, dumped back in the box and chucked down the chute I asked for a fresh one, 'Ethan' told me to stop shouting?!!, I had a mask on (one of the 2% of customers that did!) and was behind a plastic screen, let alone it was like a circus in there and I had to shout to be heard! He was ordering staff here there and everywhere and any deliveries that came in, went out immediately!! I gave up, asked for my money back as I did not have time to wait another 15 minutes! He replied ' I don't have time for customers like you' ??! as he THREW £7 in cash at me! I paid by card.... I guess I should thank Ethan for paying me as I only paid just over £6... bet the books add up well in that franchise, disgusting and am actually still shaking my head in disbelief as to what happened, I did ask my colleague if it was me! 😂😂 avoid unless you don't really want to eat but want a few extra quid or 2 😀

I understand that's a busy place but today I just came back home and for the 3rd time I had my order with missing item. Today I paid for 20 nuggets and they didn't put them in the bag! It's like 5 pound thrown in the mud. Long waiting time. Never again

Great service ..everything was freshly cooked and hot 😀😀 there was a queue but didn't wait long so well done to the staff for getting all the food out quickly !

Bit of a love/hate relationship due to its super convenient location. Service usually 10/10 even during busy periods. However I was recently stuck in their drive through during an evening shift change . Couldn't escape. The ordeal lasted over 30mins and on leaving, the queue was way out of the car park. Apparently due to useless shift manager. Online complaint to McD who couldn't be bothered to respond. I now park in the adjoining car park and order inside. Other nearby choices are poor. I can't trust the drive through.

Food is always good here so no complaints there. However, when ordering food which is delivered to your car they NEVER give you napkins to wipe your hands. It's not rocket science.. Lose a star for that.

Refreshed to current corporate standards, staff were working hard to meet breakfast demand from drive thru, we'd already decided to dine in, staff looked after us well, usual good value meal in a "felt safe", clean environment. Would certainly return when next in the area.
