Sainsbury Cafe in Newport

The menus are from Sainsbury's own food range of products. The food is microwaved and served quickly. The coffee is good and the tea is builder's strength. Prices are very competitive.

Food is always fresh and piping hot. Service is excellent too! We're slimming world members and it's fantastic to know we can order an on plan breakfast and add extras!

Ordered cooked breakfast. Was told there was no sausage or hash browns so asked for extra bacon. Food was served 30 min later. Food was stone cold and the toast seemed to be very old. (Rock hard) and served with extra sausage?! Very poor experience. It this seems to be the usual pattern and behaviour of this cafe. No dining here again.

Had coffee with my teenage grand daughter. Staff helpful but I ordered 2toast which was served cold n dry. The butter had been put on so thin n only in the middle and it had dried right in it was inedible so I went back to counter and told them. Cashier looked bit amazed so I asked for marmalade which cost me 70p for 2 tiny plastic cartons. Never again

Drinks machine was still out of order, I think it's been weeks now not months, very poor for Sainsbury's and a big disappointment when stopping for food. Also no room to drop the full trays off as it was over flowing, tables also left dirty.Not always like this so maybe short staffed.Drinks machine not working unacceptable

Typical sainsbury's, run on absolute shoe string. No where near enough staff to cope with peak trading times. Staff they have are run ragged. Even staff eating in the cafe on their break took to serving and clearing with their coats on. No manager to be seen..

Lovely food but 45 minutes wait whrn they said it would be 20 minutes

Excellent food. One of the best places to go in cwmbran!!

Food is good value and quite nice, and service is very good. However, the café resembles a work's canteen, with lots of long tables and a high ceiling. Needs a refurb!
