Salt & Vinegar Traditional Fish & Chip Shop in Newport

Will not buy from again pre heats the chips and also deep fries chicken from frozen my family had food poisoning

Great place for some fish and chips, definitely can't go wrong with them, best price I've seen thus far, I have seen better quality but for some quick fish&chips these are banging⚡

Absolutely fantastic service very friendly staff the food is next level delicious delivery is on time warm and fresh I order a meal every weekend for myself and my son Salt and Vinegar is my new go to wouldn't go anywhere else now thanks guys really appreciate it amazing service

Best pizza in Newport always cooked they way you like it!

Stopped off for some chips after a trek up a nearby mountain. Portion massive and chips cooked fresh whilst we waited. No crusty hard chips, all gorgeous light and fluffy. Good value for money and dude behind the till was sound. (It is cash only though but there is a free cash machine at the petrol station opposite so all sorted) Will be getting the fish as well next time as that looked amazing 🤙

Can be very hit and miss. When good, very good, when bad, just avoid.Never trust them when the fish takes 5 minutes either, been left waiting more then 30 minutes numerous times.In addition the shop is filled with customers not wearing masks and they do nothing. The staff wear masks when they feel like it also, so not surprised they don't enforce 2 customer rule(as written on a sign) or make people wear masks.Far more awful then good.

Fair play to them I thought I'd give them a try and tbh I prefer there pizzas over dominoes pizzas expecially for there prices there cheap great food and there quick on delivery and there drivers are always friendly, highly recommend

Decent enough food. Customer service was good and staff were friendly. Would go back but probably wouldn't order kebab meat again as wasn't to my taste. Other guys enjoyed their fish and chips which was a decent portion for the price.

This was my first visit to Salt and vinegar, on recommendation. I chose a Plaice , chips and mushy peas. Absolutely delicious . Freshly cooked , as you can see huge piece and only £3.99, talk about value for money .Proper chips not fries . Will definitely go there again . Lovely staff , so if you fancy a fish and chips well cooked on a sunday this is the place to go .Recommend them.
