The Chippy in Newport

I ordered from here tonight I ordered a 1/2 pound chicken burger and chips and a chicken curry and chips! My food arrived cold, they only sent a 1/4 pound chicken burger so I rung up for them to tell me that there’s nothing they can do about it as they are busy and it’s not their fault it was the drivers! When I explained that it nothing to do with the driver it’s the restaurant ms fault as they cooked and prepared the order he just kept saying not my fault. Next time you order ring up and tell us that we forgot burger. He wouldn’t pass me to the manager and when I told him I wouldn’t be ordering again and I’ll be leaving a bad review his reply was ok go on then! Absolutely disgraceful services from them! Personally I wouldn’t even rate them a 1 start but I have to give them 1 otherwise I can’t post.

The worst food service I have ever come across. On the just eat app it says delivered 9.20pm I'm still waiting at 22.12 pm. Never again!

Ordered through just eat stupidly as they were the only ones open before 5pm on a Sunday.Delivery stated around 50mins max which is great for the kids. As soon as order placed it changed to nearly 2hrs.2 hrs later no sign of food so ring the shop and I’m assured he’s about to leave now. Absolutely ridiculous timing should hve read previous reviews

Order through Deliveroo which despite saying 40 minutes it took over an hour to arrive. Deliveroo live chat told us to call them because they have nothing to do with them. Spoke to them twice when the guy couldn’t hold back just being plain rude. Food arrived fairly cold and sweaty and the burger (with salad) had one wet, brown leaf slapped in there. Not a great place to order a delivery.

Visited this chippy on the 16th October and asked for a large chips and Irish Curry sauce and was charged £4.20. After checking later I realised that I had been charged £1.20 extra. Both staff members were serving and its likely that my accent may have led them to believe I wasnt local so ripe to be overcharged. The chips were fine but a bad taste is always left when your over charged and I wont use again.

Collected food as delivery was almost an hour... A member of staff walked food to car as I was carrying our little one (which for me excelled in customer service 👌) by time I got home good food was still warm and by far the nicest fish and chips we've had in a while. Decent portion sizes too. Will defo be ordering again soon 🖒🖒

Ordered food for delivery through just eat; I was given an hour until my food would be delivered.Food turns up late by an additional 40 mins. 1 hour and 45mins to wait, no apology, wrong food sent and the fish was very small.I will not order from here again, I have ordered on many occasions, I usually have to add some additional time, but this is NOT acceptable.Go elsewhere for a decent takeaway delivered within a decent time.

I've always had great service when ordering from here. The food is always fresh and the owners have always been polite whenever I've gone into the shop. Beef sausages make a huge difference for me also as I don't eat pork, thanks guys!

Ordered thought just eat, after waiting for a late delivery I was informed they dont have a driver, was told that if I come to collect it would be ready for me.. . It wasn't! Had to wait a further 20 mins. Cheeseburger was cheese-less and chips were cold. Over food quality was not work waiting nearly 2 hours for.
