The Waterloo Hotel and Bistro in Newport

Owner was on reception as we arrived and made us feel more than welcome. Room was newly decorated and was perfect for our overnight stay. We got the family room and our friends had the double all agreed we will definitely be going back to the Waterloo Hotel next time we in the area. Had a great pub downstairs and the owners are doing great things to this grade two listed building with a fascinating history. 👍

Superb hotel. Stayed here during Six Nations in Cardiff. Only 20 min cab ride. Owners were so hospitable and a great laugh. Room was so cosy and quiet. Would highly recommend.

Lovely friendly staff. Excellent full English breakfast. Room clean and spacious, with tea and coffee. Would highly recommend this hotel .

Asked for a quiet room and they gave me a room at the back on the second floor (elevator wasn't working....), which was very good and very comfortable. Staff very helpful. But there's no food available, even in the bar. However, Fanny's Cafe opposite is a good option when open. Overall, a good experience.

Everything about this hotel was welcoming. Helpful staff and nothing was to much trouble... lovely evenings in the bar chatting to the very friendly owners and his family...Can't wait till they get the restaurant up and running will be the icing on the cake... but until then, Fanny's cafe across the road served a fantastic menu..

A lovely place very clean room our room was big clean and the bed was comfy owners so polite and helpful highly recommend and we will deffo be back thankyou so much

Ty He place is under new management do not all facilities are available at the moment. The new owners are very nice people and I really wish them all the best.The rooms are clean and spacious, I even have a bathtub in my bathroom. There is even a lift so disabled people will also enjoy the place. Room prices are more than reasonable for the standard offered.If you are in Newport I highly recommend this place.
