Great Chinese Takeaway, food is spot on and chips is always fresh as they always cook to order.Whenever im waiting for my food, I've noticed that they ask every customer if they can wait whenever someone orders chips in-house, they are honest about it being a bit long (roughly 10 mins) you see some people leave as they can't wait, but at least they are willing to give fresh chips to every customer and rather risk loosing a few sales than to cook a large batch of chips and let it sit in the chip box for gosh knows how long. (like many chip shops, they get ready many portions and will give you the chips even if they have been sitting in the chip box for more than 10 minutes... But not in Fais, which is a rarity).Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Chips are always fresh as they cook every portion to order, yes ,you have to wait a bit, but its well worth it knowing that it wasn't sitting in the chip box.As for portion size, Fai's Chinese undoubtedly give the most chips in Aberdare; the chinese food portions are good too.The Chinese Menu is a bit small for your typical Takeaway but the food is very nice, I love their Beef in Black Bean Sauce with a side of fluffy Boiled Rice, can't fault it.Their chinese curry sauce is awesome, do taste it before adding more salt, as I made the mistake of adding a bit of salt when it was already perfectly seasoned. (since most shops under season their curry).Chinese BBQ sauce is also delightful, full of Umami flavour, I would prefer BBQ over your typical gravy any day.Overall, a solid takeaway and one of my regulars whenever I want to treat myself.

The best Chinese in Aberdare and value for money . The curries are excellent and the meat is very tender. I have been going there for years . The boys serving are very friendly and polite. The chips are always fresh as they dont cook off too many at a time.

Not freshly cooked, chips old and lukewarm. Pancake roll had a sausage in it and batter on sweet and sour chicken very greasy. Maybe an off moment but very disappointed

Very nice food!Decided to give Fai's a go on a Saturday evening, and was not disappointed!Chips are cooked to order and are always fresh, you can see them wrap up the chips infront of you which is very nice! The portions that they give you is the best in Aberdare! (No seriously, it can feed the 5000, its that big!).Although the Chinese menu is quite small compared to many other chinese Takeaways I've been to, the taste is fantastic and portion size is good. I recommend the Singapore Chow mein and BBQ spare ribs, absolutely delightful!The staff are very polite, and quite surprised there's only 4 people working in this establishment, a true family business to its roots!The one thing I must critique is that service can be a bit on the slow side, but that's understandable as theres only 2 at the front and 2 in the kitchen cooking the chinese meals.You can see that the workers are working Extremely hard as I witnessed one of the workers literally taking orders on the phone whilst also putting the meal containers in bags for the customer! Now that's multitasking! (McDonald's you could learn a few things from this takeaway).I worked as a delivery driver for a Takeaway in Cardiff in the past and know how stressful the job can be.Not many people understand how stressful it can be to maintain such flow under timed conditions; especially when you are understaffed, the fact that they can still deliver great food, it's remarkable!Will definitely come again whenever I'm in Aberdare!

Love the food, but they simply WILL NOT answer the phone to take an order. I try every Friday (as my end of week treat) and today I've tried 35 times.Each week I have to go there, order, and wait.So annoying

Good food and - WOW! - big portions! My wife and I ordered the same dishes that we get from a local Chinese takeaway in our home town and theres always a little left over. However, there was LOADS left over for a small meal with family afterwards! Decent prices, decent food and large portions - bargain!
