O'callaghan's Coffee House in Rhondda Cynon Taf

My 5 stars is especially for its position and the fantastic outside seating with view of the river and Ynysangharad Park, what an amazing spot for a sunny day Pontypridd needed this year's ago! Food is always pretty decent and the Bottle of Chenin Blanc they do is really good. Recently tried several dishes of the Tapas and thoroughly enjoyed all. Previously enjoyed the Buttermilk Chicken Burger and the Sweet Potato Fries are awesome especially if they are served very hot. Intend many more visits. Enjoy!

Came here with my partner and we loved the tapas we had. The view from the terrace is lovely too and the staff was great in serving us. Would definitely come here again!

Modern, family friendly. Reasonable range, quality and price of food, I like the flexibility that can be requested when ordering, such as leaving out part of a dish and probably staff would be happy to add fairly priced extras. Nice range of drinks for all. Hospitable staff. Great views. Right by the fab park and Lido.The family could easily spend a lot of time between here and the park. Might have a short wait time when busy, so arrive early (no able to book in advance, first come first serve).

Popped in for a cocktail after an evening walk. love the atmosphere here and staff always friendly. Plus bonus.. it's dog friendly.👍

Lovely setting opposite Ynysangharad Park. There was plenty of outdoor seating. Dogs are well catered for. Unfortunately some dog owners let their dogs foul outside and didn't clean up the mess. There was a vast selection of food on the menu. Unfortunately the kitchen is located downstairs and my food became warm by the time it was brought up. Staff are friendly and service was good. I hope they do well as its much needed. Dog owners clean up your dogs" mess. Not a pretty sight!!

First visit here, after recommendations from friends. Nice airy, dog friendly venue with plenty of space between tables.The menu is big, so lots to choose from. We had breakfasts, which was lovely. I was impressed by the staff checking if people had any food allergies when taking our orders and anything I couldn't have was replaced with an alternative.I noticed how clean the restaurant was, patrons were very friendly and staff were just as friendly and very helpful.Enjoyable eating experience.

My first visit today after seeing them on my a local Facebook group - gave them a Google and thought I had to try!Was not disappointed! Staff were lovely, food was yummy and drinks were fab.Definitely going back again - if not for the above, just the atmosphere alone is inviting! Especially when it was getting dark outside and they bought out candles for everyone.Will recommend for sure!

Lovely and reasonably priced food, seating is good with wide range of options available with even sofa's being there which was ideal for my kid to have a nap, but if you visit here try and sit downstairs as the large glass windows may shine a lot of light in your eyes on sunny days.

Tonight I took a walk around Ponty with my partner and saw the Gatto Lounge was busy with people sitting outside as the weather was so nice. We decided to give it a try. We waited and ended up getting the very last seats outside. I checked the menu and as a vegetarian, there was a huge choice for me.I chose to order the cheese beyond burger. I got a little cold and I asked a staff member to move inside and they obliged. We were so excited by the time our food came out as we were watching all the different tapas come out of the kitchen and they all looked so well presented and delicious.The meals came out beautifully on the plates. The waiter checked if we needed anything. All the staff we came into contact with today were so courteous, so polite and very helpful. Nothing is too much for them.We devoured our meals quickly and promptly ordered dessert. We both went for the churros. They came out with a selection of dips, a chocolate and a salted caramel. I was in absolute heaven!The vegetarian choices in this place is the biggest winner for me as well as the excellent, highly trained and courteous staff who a massive credit to the company. Well done all, we will certainly be returning soon to sample more of your delicious menu!

Very impressed with the Gatto Lounge. Great choice of food and nice decor, and a lovely outside dining area by the river Taff. Food was great. Most notable was the excellent customer service from the waiting staff. It was quite busy and it is rare to get such excellent service in such circumstances. Every staff member we came into contact with was exceptionally polite and friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful and welcoming. Will definitely be returning soon.
