We had the prosecco afternoon tea and it was absolutely fantastic! The staff were helpful and polite. The food was outstanding and so much. Definitely value for money! I would recommend for Hen afternoon tea, retirement occasions, baby shower and any other celebrations. Thanks for looking after us all! 😁😁😁

Had a terrible meal last week. First time to be fair . Plaice was terrible, and my partners pasty meal was bad too. No table check. £20. Poor.

Fabulous food and service from William and his wonderful staff. Worth a trip to Pontypridd just to dine in the Prince's Restaurant.

Busy today but always happy staff. Only had cake and toast but served quickly and very tasty. Thank you

Love everything about this cafe the inside is vintage with some of its original art decor.Staff are great with a good service food is lovely and the cakes are amazing that are made at the premises and bread. Can't beat the toast in the morning like the old days thickly cut and toasted under a grill with butter. Lush!

Have always enjoyed sandwiches at Princes restaurant. However I took 2 family members a week ago and had a seafood platter. It was absolutely awful, over fried and the calamari and fish goujons were inedible. Will never have a full meal here again. My daughters plaice was awful too. Stick to sandwiches and pies.

High quality home cooked food with the tastiest baked on the premises breads, cakes and pastries. Beautiful flavours for simple meals, Friendly and comfortable.

My daughter treated me to afternoon tea and it was amazing. The sandwiches were so fresh , cakes were gorgeous and a great choice. The staff were really attentive despite being busy. We go there regularly and cannot praise them enough. Thanks guys. X

I visited Prince's on a Wednesday at around 11am.The place was absolutely packed, which doesn't surprise me as I've been here previously but to grab takeout cakes, so today was my first time sitting in.I've rated it three stars due to:The presentation Of The food, whilst it is only jacket potato with chicken curry I feel it could have been presented better (see picture)The orange juice I ordered tasted vinegary, no idea why?And whilst it was busy and we were offered a table by a man I assume to be the manager, we didn't get seen until we moved tables when one became available. The table we sat at initially wasn't dressed up (no place mats, sugar/salt pots etc) and it was right next to the bread cutter machine. The service that we eventually received after moving tables was friendly although the waitress did seem extremely rushed off her feet. The lady at the cake counter was very friendly and helpful when paying. The food I ordered, as previously stated jacket potato and chicken curry was okay don't know if I'd order it again but I like to try new dishes on each visit anyway.I'd absolutely recommend this place for their bakery section as everything I've had (cakes, pastries, pancakes) have been spot on.Prices Of The selection of food aren't too high but definitely the pricier side for some. They seem to have a grill room upstairs so will try this next time maybe.
