Lovely food, great service (other than the confusion of a starter), and a little bit cramped, but we couldn't go in the lounge because we had dogs

Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday and had the lamb shank. Best I've ever had, slow roasted , tender and so flavourful. Great service as well.

Beautiful pub to visit. Always friendly service and love sitting indoors in the bar and outdoors on the benches with beautiful views

Love this place. Beautiful bar inside with log fire, outside on the decking area with seating and cracking views

Always nice to go here on a bank holiday or anytime, good food and drink nice decking area which is nice and peaceful and in the bar a nice log fire, the Sunday dinners are very good as well but best book first.

Exceptional service and good home-cooked food. And a fantastic drive up the Llanwonno hill to get here. Stunning, keep up the good work and see you again soon!

An example of how to run a pub properly. Good welcome, lovely food at a reasonable price and three real ales and a real cider. It was 2.30pm on Wednesday in February and the pub is in the middle of nowhere. There were at least twenty cars in the car park. The bar was full as was the restaurant.Such a good pub.

Always loved this place..remember going there since I was a kid with my dad and all the characters there....the old landlord now buried across the pub in the church..Alan the farm...too many to recall . Somehow it is still charming but feels smaller and more tatty these days. Roaring log fire and cosy atmosphere..however did not have any Baileys or even a substitute which is a bit strange in a pub!

Really interesting drive to get there and a wonderful old church across the road. I don't recommend the drive in the winter. Real old pub with a very nice restaurant to one side. Good varied menu which was reasonably priced. Service was pleasant without being overbearing. A few items were not available such as espresso and some dessert items but it has such a nice laid back atmosphere it didn't faze me. I think it's probably a very good steak restaurant, but I had faggots chips peas and gravy which was really good. I couldn't eat it all. Enjoyed our visit. Also an area to sit outside.
