Went with my husband and son for lunch today. First impressions was that the place looked and felt great, they gave beautiful new padded chairs which are really comfy and it's all set out lovely. Our server was great, really friendly, attentive and we didn't have to wait long for attention although there was a few other busy tables. So we had the camembert bites to start and I totally recommend it, it's delicious and a plentiful starter. Hubby had brisket sandwich with fries for main and I had the rainbow salad with chicken (going away in a few weeks so being super good) hubs enjoyed his food and my salad was stunning loved all the hits of different flavours and with the chicken and the 3lb of Mayo I put on it was really filling. I highly recommend the Castle Myanch for great food, super service in a beautiful place :)

Omg this place is a little gem. It been refurbished and looks and feels so homely. Staff are so attentive, had a warm welcome and a friendly manner to each member who was working there today. We popped in for a wedding anniversary treat and the meals did not dissappoint😋 I had baked cheesy mushrooms to start and hubby had broccoli and potato soup which were both delicious. Mains we both opted for the hunters chicken schnitzel which was very tasty indeed and a generous portion too. I have to say I think I chose the best pudding ever I had the black forest pot, oh my days it was amazing, the presentation was outstanding. Everything on the plate was edible even the flowers. You will not be disappointed with this truly delicious dessert. Please see pictures. Definitely recommend this place for a comfy enjoyable place to eat, with prices that won't break your bank account lol . The chef even sent out a chocolate brownie with Happy anniversary on the plate. Thank you kindly to all the staff there today.

Very nice pub. Good beers very nice food apart from the mouldy tomatoes in the side salad (see pictures). Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the salad.

Food was okay, but arriving just before 5.00 staff seemed more interested in finishing their shift. Drinks took a long time to arrive and when we finished the meal the plates were not removed from the table and as a consequence we were not asked whether we wanted a desert. Whilst eating the meal staff were more interested in chatting to each other so we observed several customers who had just arrived had to go to the bar to order drinks & food .

What a lovely visit. It was to celebrate my 66th birthday and my retirement. It was only 3 of us. We had to change tables as my husband is ,6ft 4in and with the bar under the table he couldn't put his legs under the tableNothing was to much trouble. The service was impeccable. Food was lovely. Well doneWe will return. . Keep up the good work.

Greeted with a friendly smile and directed to our table. However the food did not meet up to our expectations. My wife had steak and asked for it to be cooked medium rare and is was medium well, with a huge amount of fat running through it. We also upgraded to triple cooked chips and they were most definitely not. They were under cooked and more like McCain's, not what we were expecting. If it wasn't for the fact that I had 50% voucher, I would have complained about the meal at the time. Bitterly disappointed to be honest

It's just a nice friendly pub, dog friendly, warm welcome, great food, schnitzel hunters chicken was different lush tho. I believe they're part of the Miller and Carter group food as good but a bit cheaper. Great Irish coffee too, which in some establishments is a dying art. We love it!

After a very bad experience on boxing day and speaking to the manager about it, we were sent a £20 voucher in compensation. We decided to give it another go. The service was excellent last night. Starters and main course were delicious so we decided to go for the cheese board for dessert as a treat. When the cheese board came it looked really nice until my partner noticed we had been served mouldy grapes. So on balance of the last 2 visits we will not be going back.

The inn had lots of free parking which was a great start. We booked online for a table of 5, and were seated straight away and given drinks. Their house soda is elderflower and raspberries was delicious! The mood was perfect for adults, although children are allowed. The toilets and restaurant are all on the same floor that you walk in, so wheelchairs have access (however the hallway might be tight). The service was great with friendly staff which they didn't hoover over you.Food was good, price was reasonable, atmosphere was great!

We sat only in the beer patio outside, as it was a nice warm afternoon. Indoors looked clean and cosy. The Flowerpot dessert was great!
