Ton Thai is the real deal. Genuine, well made Thai food. I should say the chicken used isn't of the best quality and turns out quite dry and grainy, but that could be an issue with the supplier. I'd say try switching from breast to thigh. Nevertheless, I won't let that stop me from giving these guys 5 stars.

Lovely place, had the meal there in January for my birthday. It looks like just an average takeaway but the food was great quality; curries were cooked beautifully, everything was hot, the service was super polite and friendly, and the whole experience was just really positive. No pushy salesy staff smiling to you in a fake way like in many chains these days, just authentic and honest service. Will be returning 😉

A search for a quick stop off the motorway as we travelled back to London revealed this brilliant hidden gem. Friendly service (you feel like family), spotlessly clean, and seriously authentic food. What’s not to like?

Amazing gem in the heart of Tongywnlais. My girlfriend and I were looking for something different and found this little place on our way back from Powys. We had the Pad Thai noodles and Red Thai curry. Authentic bold flavours made with fresh ingredients beautifully presented as a 'Street food box'. Absolutely delicious!

Top notch. Very fresh & tasty, quick turnaround, best quality take out I've had in Cardiff. Generous portion with good ratio of fresh veg and meat, nice balance of chilli, my stomach is very very happy!My only regret is that I didn't try them out sooner.

Ton Thai has become our go-to takeaway. Food quality is exceptional and there is something for everyone. Portions are generous but you never get that "grease remorse" feeling that you sometimes get with other takeaways. Food is cooked fresh and you can taste the difference. So pleased this place opened! Worth trying the lunch time reduced menu AND make sure you try the evening menu as it's slightly different with more choice. We would recommend the Tamarind Duck, Red Curry, and pad thai if you wanted somewhere to start.

Came to the area to visit my sister who lives locally. This was their takeaway of choice and it did not disappoint. My wife and I both love Thai food and loved our meal. The Thai green curry was okay specially excellent as was the tofu street food rice! Thank you very much - we will come again

this place is just amazing! Food was so delicious, place very clean and tidy. People very nice and professional. I'm few days after my Wales trip and I still remember to leave the review. Just perfect. So friendly and happy. Nice tables to sit at inside and out and see the world of tomgwynlais. Also has only soft drinks so BYO
