Brew Stone in Swansea

Came here today while on a short trip to Swansea for a friend's wedding. Researched vegan places and this came up.Arrived and we were greeted by 2 wonderful members of staff. Our waitress was Crystal who throughout the evening was outstanding. Sat down in the back and had a wobbly table but we were moved to a better table after we mentioned it to Crystal.We told crystal we were vegan and she made sure everything we ordered was vegan. We ordered the following- Olives- Vegan wedges with lemon vegan mayo- Fungi Pizza with vegan cheese- The classic with vegan cheeseAll the food arrived in good time and was very tasty. So far I consider this evening a 5 star review. We asked Crystal for the bill and included a 10% gratuity as her service was excellent throughout. So far we are having a wonderful evening.On our exit is where I've removed 3 stars. On our exit we were asked by a waitress "have you paid?". Now we have not dealt with this waitress before and are now exiting having just paid our bill with Crystal in the back section. This waitress is about 5'2 in height, curly hair with tattoos on her arms. We are absolutely disgusted that after having just spent £38 for 2 of us on a meal someone is asking us have we paid? I mean are you serious? What an accusation to make. How can you ask paying customers have you paid? Both my pregnant wife and I are of Indian origin so not sure if that had any bearing in this situation. But I'm so furious that she would ask me have you paid? I hope you ask all your customers when they leave "have you paid?". What sort of restaurant does this. I'm furious and this member of staff is an utter disgrace. If management do care about their customers I'm happy to discuss this in more detail. I've provided proof of my visit via the photos.Crystal was brilliant, the food was great but the evening has been ruined by this abysmal member of staff. Stop asking paying customers "have you paid? !".

We had a great experience!! The food was delicious!! We also had amazing vegan dishes that we absolutely loved. Each dishes was full of flavor. Nice ambience, casual and cozy. Perfect to bring family and friends. Definitely coming back!!

Went here for dinner. Was taken to the bar side of Brewstone, amongst the students for Student night which was loud and poorly staffed. We were then told that they could only serve pizzas this side as it was away from the kitchen. We then proceeded to wait an hour and 40 minutes for the pizzas despite numerous checking up from the bar staff who kept promising another "10 minutes" but not checking with the kitchen. After an hour and 25 minutes I went directly to the kitchen staff and asked where our food was (which seemed to have been forgotten!). Two pizzas then arrived 10 minutes later and were wholly underwhelming. Has totally put me off ever going here again.2 things to take away:1. Refuse to sit on the bar side of the restaurant as you will be forgotten2. The food is really unexciting and quite bland. There are a lot of far better restaurants nearby

Very rustic place. Lovely atmosphere and it was reasonably priced . Very spacious. I thinknit has 3 large city rooms. They specialise in pizza, although we didn't have any on our visit. Next time!

Visited just before ChristmasFood was mediocre to poor and unfortunately service was not the best either.I can’t be bothered with full details but the greasy tapas and the sausage pizza !! , ok it said “Ground Pork, Smoked Bacon, Sausage,Chilli and Pomodoro Sauce Base” on the menu but I was hoping for something better than chunks of pork sausage tomato sauce and a bit of chilli.Sorry guys just didn’t hit the mark.

Was at the bar side of the place and the coffee order took about 40 mins (I'm sure that was an isolated incident)! Apart from that, all has been beautiful since. Been to both the restaurant and bar areas. Delicious food, great staff, and the interior design is stunning!

Great service, well done guys.Visited Wales and this was was first place I had dinner. I was surprised by the very polite and professional service. Very helpful staff, clean area, really good menu, great taste.Staff could be little bit annoying by repeatedly asking if we need anything more.However the whole experience was great.Very tasty food, good prices. Well done

Cozy cute local bar restaurant. Staff are very friendly,m. Tapas were surprisingly good. We loved the meatball and satay chicken. The pizza was also quite nice. And interesting cocktails too.

Excellent service. Lovely food!! omg amazing food. Easy to order via the app. Eating inside and outside.
