Cannot fault the food or service, the pub itself seemed clean and tidy.Womens toilets on the other hand were absolutely terrible!Blocked toilets, broken toilets, toilet cisterns boarded up, toilets that didnt lock, and the smell was not at all delightful. Clearly hadn't been cleaned or restocked from the night before. Really let the place down for me, just glad I went to the toilets after I had eaten.

Cheap drinks at night, great food and entertainment during the day. Definitely a must visit on wind street.

Ok for a quick bite. The menu is heavy on carbs protein and fat. Not somewhere to go if you want a balanced diet, ok on a night out. I quite like the Griffin as a place. the original bank wood panelling and plasterwork are nice to see. Plenty of choices of beers and lagers, the only fly in the ointment is the toilets are in a cellar.

The pub has plenty of seating and nice toilets if you are in sport you can watch them Their the food is quite reasonable

I've been there during Wales/Ukraine, 5th of June 2022... The kind of pub made for this kind of event. Nice people and great music.

Absolutely disgusted. Went Saturday night, charged us £4 entry, we bought one drink, hadn't even drunk half of our drink and a female bouncer came over to say they were closing. If we were told that they were closing before charging us £4 each to go in we wouldn't have bothered. Upon questioning the entry fee for half a drinks worth of time in there, the manager wouldn't even talk to us and we were basically told to just leave. At which point we were quite happy to sit and finish our drinks and leave. But that's where the real problems started, the female bouncer then decided to come over and ask us quite aggressively if we had a problem with her and insist we were talking about her.. firstly so what if we were? Why come over and cause an issue? Quite childish behaviour really. She then stood over our table and waited for us to leave at which point stood at the door giving it the big one. For someone in that profession it was disgraceful, trying to provoke a problem situation. She needs a good training discussion and maybe even the loss of her job if she isn't capable.

Enjoyable, comfortable and welcoming spacious pub. Great value on drinks and food. (Enjoyable meal, few beers and still change from a tenner.) Probably the best pub on the street. Huge screens to watch football, rugby and other big sporting events. Liked alot!
