Star Bar & Restaurant in Swansea

The food was very late and when it did arrive it was disgusting. The curry was oily and had no sauce. The rice was hard. The chips were stale. It was as if the food had been left there for hours. Easily the worst Chinese meal I have ever had. Waste of money and a rip off. Don't order here

Beautiful food and a great host won't go anywhere else

Their hotpot base is so amazing! Very different from other restaurants. Definitely worth try. The only drawback is the quality of raw foods, such as veg, sausages, beef, lamb, etc.. which can be improved.

By far the best Chinese iv had EVER.I have eaten in Star for over 7 years and iv NEVER had a bad meal.Cannot comment on their take away as iv only eaten in on their authentic Chinese menu.100% recommend.

Fantastic experience, staff were very friendly and the food left me wanting more even though I struggled to finish what I had but not for a lack of trying. Looking forward to eating here again.

When we paid our bill, we were asked to pay more than what the menu said. The staff just told us this was because the price on the menu was not updated. It was just ridiculous!

Authentic Chinese food!! Very delicious and the portions are big enough to justify the price! Very friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Took 1 hour 45 mins for the food to arrive. Food was cold. This Qhongqing spicy chicken cost £9.40 and half of the container was chili, half of them are chicken BONES. I mean it. It’s not chicken breast/ thighs/ wings, they are unwanted parts from the whole chicken. Total rip off.

The all you can eat Chinese hot pot.slight expensive compared with other restaurants in Swansea.Friendly staff. If you want have some Chinese food in Swansea ou can go there.

Excellent authentic proper Chinese food when things are working well. Unfortunately you have the feeling that sometimes the staff can't be bothered to live up to that standard. I went twice and had 2 very different experiences. The owner needs to keep an eye on the restaurant. Properly managed this place would be a gem. It was only the great experience on my first visit that stopped me from rating this place lower.
