Steak By Night in Swansea

Really disappointed we ordered two mix grill but the side of the steaks was burnt and tasted bitter also we used to love the garlic bread with cheese but now it look and taste like garlic bread from a cheap kebab shop. Must be under different management. We used to love this place but won't be ordering anymore unless they go back to the old way.

Very busy so a good idea to book. Always have good service here. If you want a challenge go for the tomahawk steak! 42oz is a lot of meat. Staff very friendly and helpful. Recommended

Embarrassing to have ‘steak’ in the name but not even know how to cook it! I asked for a medium rare but it came basically blue, my partner asked for medium but it came well done. Could not even finish it. There was hardly any seasoning on it either so my mouth has been left with a horrible taste that must have come from the grill. Chips were bland and tasted of oil. Peas tasted… interesting. I can understand why people like them, but they were not really my thing. They were mushy and far too salty. Ordered from the set menu which was not awfully priced. Mains came like 5 minutes after the starters which felt way too quick and the steak clearly had not been left to rest. Felt a little too over-staffed also; the staff were nice but felt like we were constantly being watched and as soon as my partner put down his fork, they came over and swooped away our plates. Would not recommend if you want a steak.

Food was absolutely amazing, cannot recommend the sauces and steaks highly enough!Service was great and staff were quick to tend to drink orders as well as provide cutlery.Highly recommend booking a table before your visit, and be prepared to pay a premium for premium quality food.

Amazing starters and mains. Well presented and good cost.

One of my favourite places to eat, never had a bad meal there, ever. If I were on death row my final meal would be a medium rare sirloin, baked potato, peas and creamy garlic mushrooms from Steak By Night

Great place to eat out in Swansea, food excellent, the prawn cocktail starter alone is a meal in itself. Definitely will be back again and happy to recommend others to try it out too.

SBN is rather hit and miss nowadays. A few years ago when it was under different management the food they made was very consistent.Mixed grill is very nice, and the garlic bread is very tasteful. Sometimes (funnily enough) the steak is a bit gristly though.If they went with better sourced meat (possibly dry aged? 👀) then it could be a 4/5 or even a 5/5.

Lovely quirky restaurant. Food is amazing aswell as the staff.. 😃
