Hanson At The Chelsea is a real hidden gem in Swansea. Relaxed atmosphere and greeted well. A great choice on the menu and the quality of food is what makes the restaurant stand out. I will be going back again very soon.

Hidden away down an alley in wind street, this place just looks like a small wine shop from the outside, but inside is one of the best fish/seafood restaurants I've been to. When we visited, they had a 7 course set menu, that changes regularly and didn't break the bank. The food was amazing and I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who likes fish/seafood!

We have been to Hanson at the Chelsea a few times over the years and go atleast once every 2 or 3 months now. We absolutely love it there, quite a small and unique restaurant but the staff and food is amazing. The staff, especially Molly always ensure we are happy and really makes us feel welcome woth every visit. We always book our next visit now before we leave, cant wait to return soon.

I was treated to dinner here for my birthday last night. Unbelievably I've walked past this place maybe hundreds of times but had never realised what a hidden gem we had right under our noses!The restaurant was just impeccable from the decor to the atmosphere to the wait staff to the absolutely stunning food.Our waitress was just perfect, she was attentive without hovering, she anticipated everything we may need and was very friendly.The food... Oh. My. God. The Food! It was quite simply the best food I've ever eaten at any restaurant! It was brought out in a timely fashion, no long wait between courses, and everything was cooked to perfection! I cannot praise the chef enough.When we were being seated my partner briefly mentioned it was my birthday and the chef then, very thoughtfully, wrote happy birthday in toffee sauce on my dessert plate which I thought was a lovely touch, especially since we hadn't made a big deal of it being my birthday. Its little things like that which will make us go there again and recommend it to everyone we know.How lucky we are to have such a first class restaurant in our little city

Visited a few years ago (perhaps 2018).Excellent service and exquisite food. The atmosphere is very intimate, providing a great setting for a special occasion for 2, while also being suitable for some larger occasions (we dined with a group of 10 I believe, without any issues of timing or staggered food service).Reasonably priced for an independent fine dining establishment.Would recommend

Fantastic lunch. The waitress was attentive and the food arrived quickly. We had a three course lunch which at £22:95 was exceptional value for the quality of food put before us - all three of the courses were simply delicious. My wife and I will definitely be returning.

What a fantastic night! We order almost all starters from the amazing variety, and then we also ordered a main course each , all the courses was executed to perfection , an exploration of textures and flavours that for a party of foodies like us was a marriage made in heaven , was a perfecto dinner from the service, to the food , perfection at its best ! Well done chef !!!!!

Wow. This hidden gem is a must visit.It's been a few years since I had visited here and I will not leave it that long again!The food was breathtaking. Every mouthful was full of perfectly balanced flavours.Menu was varied and brilliant, service was quick and attentive, whisky selection was astounding!We sampled the Hake from the specials menu, the duck and the pork belly. Each was entirely flawless.Best of all, the prices were entirely reasonable, especially considering what you get!
