The Kingsbridge Inn in Swansea

We were taken to our table but, 20 minutes later, we still waited to give our drinks order so we went to the bar ourselves to order. Yes, it was busy but I don't think they had enough staff to cope.When our meals arrived, we asked for no lemon wedge with the fish & chips, as one of our party had a citrus allergy, however it arrived with the the wedge of lemon and the waitress then took off the lemon, thinking that would be ok - not!! The meal was taken away for a fresh piece of fish to be cooked.The other meals weren't piping hot but having already returned one meal and given the overall experience, we ate them regardless.Such a shame it wasn't the best experience, particularly as a visit the week before was excellent.

Went there yesterday for a surprise birthday party, it was the first time me and wife have been there, the food was absolutely banging very very delicious. All the staff were very very friendly and very pleasant, great atmosphere,would throughly recommend this place, well done team.😁😁👍👍

Absolutely stunning food one of the nicest places I have eaten in. You definitely won't be disappointed. Has had a refurbishment and is stunning in there. Service is excellent and restaurant is spotless.

Came here on a Friday evening which I appreciate is busy but did not anticipate how long we’d be waiting. After being seated we weren’t given a menu so had to locate one ourselves from the bar, then took about 20 minutes before our drinks order was taken, a further 20 minutes before our food order, and finally we then waited 45 minutes after our plates were cleared to be asked what desserts we wanted! I’ve always tipped whenever i eat out but unfortunately i just couldn’t justify it this time. Most of the staff also seemed in a mood or like we were an inconvenience. The only good thing i can say is that our food was nice and came out fairly soon after ordering it.

Excellent food, always look forward to going for a meal at the Kingsbridge, never been disappointed.

Been here a few times. The first couple of times the mixed grill was beautiful. The last two visits were terrible. The staff were hard-faced and not very pleasant, as if the job was a strain on them. I ended up having my mixed grill for free due to the gammon being undercooked, let alone being cooked well done.All-in-all, a nice place with beautiful furniture, nice music and warm atmosphere. Kingsbridge gets a 3 star rating for me due to it’s unpredictability in regard to it’s food and the odd ignorant staff.

Didn't even plan to go here Saturday evening, so glad we did, food was amazing! Have already recommended a few people and would definitely come again!!
