Nice pub and great staff but not impressed by the Sunday beef dinner, good potion size and beef really tender but the vegetable selection was tasteless which spoiled the meal. Gents toilets need a deep clean. Black mould all over walls and were smelly and dirty. You wouldn't want to have to sit down in there. I hope the ladies lavs were better.

This is my local pub on the Lone Road as you head out of Clydach towards Craig-Cefn-Parc. It has a lovely casual atmosphere, and has everything I want in a local pub, kind people, good food and drink and a relaxed space where you can bring children and dogs. They often have live music and the six nations is always a good time to visit if you are a passionate rugby fan! My partner and I even made our decision to move to Clydach having visited it immediately after viewing our now house. It is situated on the edge of the RSPB Cwm Clydach nature reserve which is a lovely river side walk so it is perfect to combine a visit after getting out for a Sunday stroll for lunch or a pint. It is a family run pub landlady and her team are proud locals who have put their best into maintaining a traditional community pub throughout these last few difficult years. The food is the usual hearty fair that you'd hope for when you need a filling meal including a great Sunday roast but get in early or book a table to avoid disappointment! There is the main pub area, outdoor seating to the front with a childrens play area and inside there a separate dining room for those who want a quieter space and they also host personal events such as small weddings and local live music performers regularly on weekend nights. The New Inn is well worth a visit, a home from home for me and I believe a jewel in Clydach's community.

Really poor experience. Put in a side room with no other customers and 0 atmosphere. Not asked if we wanted to sit there or outside. Asked what we wanted to drink before anyone had a chance to sit down. Glasses brought over with fingers inside to hold them. Chicken burgers were soulless, chips were crisp but I could taste the old chip pan oil. Nobody finished their food. Beer was horrible, tried something local instead of the usual stuff, only one choice! Our server was friendly enough but very young and inexperienced. Won't be going back, sorry. Also, absolutely no Covid precautions being observed. No masks worn by staff. One way system and signage ignored by everyone.

Lovely local pub and friendly staff, yet most importantly the landlord loves Morris Dancing and local traditions. A great Liberal and eclectic mix of local folk.

Great little country pub. Booked for meal for 4 at short notice, staff couldn't be more helpful.Plenty of parking and lively beer garden. Was placed in bar for our meal which was lovely as the place is covid compliant, it wasn't noisy or chaotic, and had plenty of room between tables. Great choice of beers and ciders, husband and friend had Bierre Moretti, myself and my friend had local Welsh cider Black Dragon.Food was hot and served reasonably quickly, was tasty and well prepared.4 adults, 2 courses, 3 drinks each...£100 give or take! Great value...would recommend

Lot's of menu choices. I opted for camembert cheese in breadcrumbs for a starter with Glamorgan sausages (cheese and leek sausages - popular with vegetarians and meat eaters alike) & hand cut chips with peas for the main dish. 50th Birthday for a good friend - the venue allowed for a birthday cake to be brought in and presented with candles lit and brought to our table. Friendly staff. Vehicle parking to the rear. Due to current Covid restrictions, one way system and face coverings required.

Lovely family run Pub, great food & excellent service in a friendly atmosphere. Plenty of outside seating with a good play area for the kids. Menu had something for everyone. We all really enjoyed our meals, Will definitely be back! 😊
