The Purple Badger in Swansea

Really poor inconsiderate service. We weren’t allowed to book a table for the Wales match instead advised to turn up early as it was first come first serve. Given that we were a party of 8 including a baby we turned up at 3.00 with a view of having some food and enjoying the build up. We were refused entry to the entertainment room for no apparent reason other than they didn’t want to let us in. This was despite us following their advice.

Really lovely visit! Fabulous sea/ countryside viewsWe were motorcyclist dropping in for a pint and food.Great ground floor outside terrace area.

The owners of this place are so bad they actually has a Facebook page “John Fowler Holidays” “Unhappy Customers” with over 300 followers . Please do your research before wasting any hard earned money with these guys. I wish I’d done a bit more research. It’s a shame as it used to be very good however now it’s a case of poor food and worse service.

Good food good service bit expensive Sunday dinner excellent go again

Normally excellent. But a recent lay off of staff seems to have left service wanting. When the food eventually arrives its excellent, but a few basics like having tea and coffee available would make the difference between 3 and 5 stars.Its a shame. Simple things have slid away from them and it really does affect the end quality.

Food was really nice. Only downside was that no one came back outside to ask if I wanted anything else or the bill. Staff were friendly and helpful

Visited friends at the site after hearing good reviews thinking about buying a holiday home,we visited the purple badger pub, our friends had booked a table for our visit only to find the table had been given to someone else. When we spoke to one of the managers about this the best he could offer was four seats in the main room but no table?When we asked where we were supposed to put our drinks he said on the floor under your seats, the way he dealt with the situation was so aloof as my friend is disabled and cannot bend.I have worked in retail for fourty years and his attitude was absolutely disgusting, no people skill or hospitality skills what so everwhen my stated good customer skills he replied it is what it is.Filled in a questionnaire of how bad the service was the place was cold the food was shocking, gave my feedback form to the manager (ki) asked if he wanted my mobile number to give more detail feedback, but he refused, shocking service, what a way to treat first timers, I was thinking of buying a lodge but when they are not even interested in the hands feeds (the customer) the service provide speaks volumes !!!!😡😡😡

Traditional gastro pub inside, spacious but dated decor, food is good and reasonably priced. Outside area is really nice and worth going there for.... Large playground and ample tables outside with beautiful view of the Marsh and estuary with sunsets galore.

Extremely friendly and smiling staff. Decent food and good food. At The time of our travel we were the only one there and were pampered by the staff. Will advise all travelers to take a pit stop at this place.
