The Rake & Riddle in Swansea

Pleasantly surprised.Walked in an had immediate "chain" vibes. TVs everywhere, table numbers, decor etc all screamed chain, however the food and service was very good.The salmon and pie was high standard. The brownie for dessert was delicious. Loved that they were using local businesses also.Definitely recommend.

Great place!!Pros:Smart idea to mix the playground with tables so parents can sit and enjoy while still having an eye on the kids.A lot of space, big parking.Good food, fast service.Cons: noneConstructive hospitality observation : Never go back empty hands!!All waiters bringing food go back empty hands while tables are full of dishes/glasses. Will save you à lot of time and more customers will sit as a full dirty table is not appealing.Overal, happy with the visit.

Went with family and my mother's in a wheelchair. Access for wheelchair users is only in the restaurant downstairs and access through the main front entrance. Easy access and plenty of room at table. Quorn fajitas we're lovely 😍 staff were spot on too. Highly recommended 👌

A bit difficult to get in with my wheelchair because of a booking table in front of the door. Good food, not a long wait and followed covid safely measures.Update: visited again recently and it is still lovely. Food was delicious and the staff were lovely.I had lasagne which I highly recommend.

Only had drinks today. My two sons had a pizza and a burger meal. They both loved it. Great place for families as there is a huge beer garden with plenty of climbing frames. Great choice of locally brewed Gower Beers or mainstream brands. Highly recommended.

They were able to fit us in, without pre-booking. I would advise to phone and reserve a table.We had Sunday Lunch. ..... Excellent really tasty and well worth the money.Definitely going again.The picture .. Chocolate and Orange Cheese cake and cream. (A*)

Popped in over a mid week lunchtime, this is a popular restaurant with freindly staff and good food. Burgers and baked potatoes looked to be very popular. Well worth visiting for a hearty meal.

Even think was spot on, from friendliness, service,cleanliness and most of all the food was cooked spot on. Plus excellent value for money.We had Vegetable Strudel with onion gravy.Plus load's of veg a roastsFantastic

Stunning food at the Rake and Riddle! All the staff were welcoming and friendly. I was recomended the soup of the day which i was so glad i did, so good in fact i forgot to get a photo!We went for the Chicken Surpreme for the main, the photo really doesn’t do it justice. It was the nicest chicken dish i’ve had out in a very long time!Family friendly, with a large play area and plenty of outdoor seating around it.Highly recommended and we’ll be returning very soon!

I thought it would be a little bit more upscale - unfortunately food was just average with just ordinary. Service was very good. There is a very large parking which is ideal for larger groups
