We stayed overnight at the hotel and came to the Beefeater for some drinks and a light bite to eat. We were served by Andrew and Chez all evening who were superb and couldn’t do enough for us or the other customers! They (and the rest of the shift) didn’t stop all night. I’d like to say thank you to these two members of staff for making us feel most welcome and providing a great service.

Very friendly staff, nice venue with good pub grub, 3 course meal each, shared a bottle of Red wine, all for under £40 with a £3 tip 🍷

We had a nice lunch at this pub - restaurant. Starter: mushrooms, main; fish, light chips and mushy peas, desert; ice cream with chocolate sauce plus bottle of red wine. All in all very enjoyable afternoon. Very reasonably priced.

Starter was a bit poor, this was the sharing platter ... definitely poor compared to previous platters.I had the burger ... which itself was superb just let down by being on a plate with chips .. looked like a basic cafe presentation. No side salad, nothing ..... could do better.

Excellent 3 courses for ÂŁ10.95 today. Recommend the chicken wings, fish and chips and apple/custard dessert. Service was spot on. Well done Beefeater.

We Visited here on the 29th of January at 8:30 for breakfast. Nice views of the marina but that was the only nice thing about our visit. Myself and my wife were greeted by a waiter by the name of James, if this is the Same person that is mentioned in other reviews then I’d be very surprised. In most of the other reviews people have commented on how good the customer service was from this particular person so maybe not the same person just the same name. I say this because we arrived at the restaurant and the first thing he said was “Room number” no good morning, or room number please. My wife advised him that we had just booked breakfast. We were then taken to our table and the waitress who took us to our table was just as bad, no good morning, not even a smile. She just said you can sit by the window if you want, enjoy. And that was it, didn’t ask us if we’d been before, or if we wanted full breakfast or continental. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all only about 20 people in so no excuse for the lack of customer service. Neither member of staff had name badges on so only knew the waiters name was James because I asked him when we left. Both James and the waitress were acting as if they really didn’t want to be there. Myself and my wife have worked in customer service for twenty plus years and were both shocked when James started making pig noises yes that’s right pig noises and after the waitress telling him to stop about 3 times he eventually did stop.Restaurant was clean and modernNow the food, plates were cold and the food wasn’t much warmer if I’m being honest food was lukewarm. Bacon was dry, black pudding was nice, sausage and beans were nice, hash browns were dry, mushrooms were really nice to be fair, maybe I should’ve had mushrooms on toast. When your paying £9.50 for a breakfast you’d expect it to be hot not lukewarm. Coffee was dreadful definitely not Costa like advertised. Orange juice was watered down almost to no taste. The breakfast advertises 4 different types of eggs fried, scrambled, poached or boiled, however only fried and scrambled put out. I did want poached eggs but the chef was no where to be seen and if I’m being totally honest I couldn’t be bothered to ask the waiter or waitress I dare to think what the answer would’ve been.Safe to say we will not be returning we will both be sticking to greasy spoon cafes or even trucker cafes we would be guaranteed better food and customer service. Stayed in premier inns all around the country can’t rate the hotel here just the restaurant as obviously it wouldn’t be fair due to us not staying here the night. Restaurants in all the other premier inns have been different class to this one. Customer service and food is seriously lacking here and makes the premier inn Gatwick airport north terminal look like the plaza New York.

Unfortunately my meal today. Was not nice at all. I had the beer battered fish and it was so greasy . It has put me off from ever going there again. I could have had fish and chips from the local chippie which would have been a 100% nicer. On the plus side the service was very good.also they advertised a lunch time menu. But we were told it was cancelled untill the new year, they should update their website to let customers know this.

The staff were nice on the whole especially the bar staff.Food took a very long time to arrive and when it did the chips were stone cold and the food was a bit meh, had no prawns so replaced it with calamari, which is like replacing steak with chicken.

Friendly waiting staff, seating area was good and easy parking nearby. Our chicken was undercooked and had to be sent back, the one that replaced it was still not thoroughly cooked through and had to be left.Lots of items missing from the menu due to supplier issues.Too expensive for the quality of food provided.

Went here this afternoon with my partner. Warm welcoming staff from the moment we entered. The best cheesy garlic bread ever and enormous. Main meals were lovely i had smothered chicken with chips my partner had mixed grill all really lovely couldn't fault a thing. The place was spotless and the staff very attentive throughout.. a very pleasant experience we shall be returning soon..
