Excellent Staff. By far the best pub for sport, affordable food and drink on the street!

Absolutely disgusted. Went Saturday night, charged us £4 entry, we bought one drink, hadn't even drunk half of our drink and a female bouncer came over to say they were closing. If we were told that they were closing before charging us £4 each to go in we wouldn't have bothered. Upon questioning the entry fee for half a drinks worth of time in there, the manager wouldn't even talk to us and we were basically told to just leave. At which point we were quite happy to sit and finish our drinks and leave. But that's where the real problems started, the female bouncer then decided to come over and ask us quite aggressively if we had a problem with her and insist we were talking about her.. firstly so what if we were? Why come over and cause an issue? Quite childish behaviour really. She then stood over our table and waited for us to leave at which point stood at the door giving it the big one. For someone in that profession it was disgraceful, trying to provoke a problem situation. She needs a good training discussion and maybe even the loss of her job if she isn't capable.

More for the younger generation I found. Very spacious. Drinks good price 👍

Very, very expensive.Very premium and retro feeling. Outstanding staff. Lots of angles to the big games, a few enclosed booth areas for small groups. It's so expensive, though. Like, wow.

Great pub especially if you like your sports as you have a television for every angle no matter where you are seated

Nice, warm welcome, decent service, just acceptable choice of beverages and as the biggest minuses have to mention temperature - freezing next to windows, and dirty/sticky tables.Pity, coz interiors are pleasant and historical.Right now they also demand COVID Pass what is something more than govs recruitments state to.This definitely won't bring more regulars.

Went there today with my mum for a meal and was very disappointed. Ordered Cumberland sausages, mash and onion gravy. When it arrived was hardly any gravy, meaning it was very dry and the sausages were luke warm and it came with normal gravy, not what's stated on the menu. And my mum's breakfast was not Very nice either, overdone bacon, beans dryed up and the eggs were hard. And nobody checked back to see if everything was okay with our meals. I pick up on these things as I'm a chef myself

Popped in for a couple of drinks lunch time on a Saturday. Doom Bar was perfectly poured and they had an excellent selection of gin’s. The pub was quiet with lots of tellys and seating available for the lunchtime premier league kick-off. Bar staff friendly and attentive.

Loves the way the chairs were wiped down as well as the tables as a table was vacated before the next group were seated. Food fantastic and a great selection of drinks available. Nothing too much trouble for the staff to help you. Great visit will definitely be returning.

Enjoyable, comfortable and welcoming spacious pub. Great value on drinks and food. (Enjoyable meal, few beers and still change from a tenner.) Probably the best pub on the street. Huge screens to watch football, rugby and other big sporting events. Liked alot!
