Very friendly, food looks amazing & very well priced. Everyone was very sociable.

Called in for Sunday dinner, it was as if my mother had made it. The lamb was thick, succulent and very tasty. All the veg was seasoned to perfection and proper home made roasties, all smothered in lashings of proper gravy. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Cannot think of one thing I'd complain about, staff are so friendly, beer is a decent price (which, let's be fair, is the main concern) the atmosphere was superb for the rugby, honestly just an all round excellent local pub! Hats off to Ash and the team, can't wait to head back.

Very disappointing . Been going there for years and always had a great night . Booked over a week ago to go for food last night and said we wanted to watch the band . Two texts revived confirming booking .When we arrived we were told we could only have the table for 3/4 of an hour . Explained we intended staying the night and had said when we booked . Eventually given a table in the back room Next to the beer garden so door constantly opening ( 2 degrees out last night ) no one came to ask about drinks or food . Table service only . When we did get food it was fine but struggled to get any drinks as so far out of the pub . Couldn’t hear the band . People walking in were instantly given chairs from the beer garden and allowed to sit in various places to watch the band . Told by friends there all the locals are given the tables and looked after before anyone else . No apology or offer of Complementary drink or a table next week . Staff very rude with no customer care . Such a shame for what was one of my favourite pubs .

As you know I never post negative comments about businesses as I appreciate how hard it is to run a business and will always and support and advise businesses. However I have to share my extrene disappointment and frustration around our visit Friday . Been going there for years and always had a great night . I booked for two of us last Monday for food Friday evening and said we wanted to watch the band . Two texts received confirming booking .When we arrived we were told we could only have the table for 3/4 of an hour . Not sure how you can order a meal and eat it in that time! We explained we intended staying the night and had said when we booked . Eventually given a table in the back room next to the beer garden so door constantly opening ( 2 degrees out ) No one came to ask about drinks or food . Table service only . When we did get food it was fine but struggled to get any drinks as so far out of the main pub . Couldn’t hear the band . People walking in were instantly given chairs from the beer garden and allowed to sit in various places to watch the band . Told by various friends I was talking to there that all the locals are given the tables and looked after before anyone else . No apology or offer of complementary drink or a table next week . Staff very rude with no customer care . Such a shame for what was one of my favourite pubs.

A decent, old fashioned pub often with live bands at the weekend. They are a Brains pub so serve a good selection of dishes. Big problem last Friday was too many people and staff not coping. Took a long time to get drinks and longer for food. Not great. I had fish and chips which was tasty if a bit overcooked. They need to get better organised with the ordering.

Never been here before. Fairly busy. Masks on, table service. Not bad prices. There was a quiz night on (Wednesday) friendly staff. Nice decor.

Usually a great place to visit but been a bit disappointed recently. Kitchen closures and running out of certain meals. Can only assume its to do with COVID issues so understandable. Great staff working here who are very helpful and some great meal offeres
