Yallops in Swansea

If only I could give a zero star. We just had a small chips and a large chips with two Irish curry sauces. When the staff packed the order their backs were turned to us. They'd packed my order and I went to meet kids at the sitting points near the park opposite. Opened the two boxes and the amount served to us was beyond me. They serve so little it's absolutely disgusting actually unreal the amount the large container they used was empty we could actually count 11 chips. Considering we'd paid over £9 that's pathetic. Will have to go home now and prepare tea for the kids. I wish I had the energy to go back but it's a school night and it's going to be a busy one now!!!

I ordered small fish & large chips my partner had a large fish & Large chips then my son had chicken nugget chips & beans kids meal & 3 cans of pepsi, we was charged few pence of £28 when I questioned it as shouldnt have even come to £20 the lady stated she put everything through the till seperatley & said my son had 8 chicken nuggets when in fact he only had 4, awful will never go there again, imagine how many more people they done this too

Amazing fish and chips freshly cooked and served by really friendly staff. What more could you ask for

On first glance this place looks very nice, however the service is disappointing. We were waiting more than 10 minutes for some chips and curry sauce, which is meant to be fast food! To have the curry sauce over the chips cost £1.80, which seems extortionate. Also, they only take cash, which is very inconvenient. I would not recommend, as the service is slow and the food is overpriced.

Really tasty cod and chips, friendly staff, cooked everything in front of me so it was fresh. My family really enjoyed it. Would defo recommend this restaurant over Coperfish who service sucked.

Fish and chips was rather tasty, however, I think they were running out of chips as the portion size was horrendous, especially when paying for for a large 😂 . They have the youngest boy serving the food who does not seem to know what he is doing, with the customer service being a tad below par. Could be so much better if the food portion size to cost ratio was more balanced. Probably try somewhere else next time we are in the area.

The first fish& chip shop I’ve come across that doesn’t do chips & cheese, that’s like a traditional!!Anyway, we was out for the day & only had a short amount of time to get food and get back to the car, so we come across Yallops, smelt amazing! But…the chips was full of grease, may as well had a bottle of grease! & they only take cash… there’s a bank machine inside that charges you too draw your money out! I don’t recommend at all

Lovely place. Very tasty food and good sized portions; plaice was really good. Also very friendly service and nice decor. Cash only but there is a cash machine in the shop. Convenient for fish and chips on the beach; prefect for what I was looking for.

Very over priced. Cash only where everywhere else has gone contact less due to the pandemic but they do have a cash point in the shop which charges £1.50 for a withdrawal. The staff packing your food need more training, and need to make more of an effort and smile and be more pleasant. They ran out of mushy peas but didn't say anything, closed the box on my cod and chips and just tried to offer me a packet of sauce as a substitute, until I asked for a refund and then they found mushy peas. I ordered cod, chips, mushy peas and tartar sauce. They tried to give me cod and chips. I even had to ask for the mushy peas and tartar sauce. The young lad serving was very rude with an attitude because I asked for what I paid for. I thought he was going to freak out when I asked for forks! This place has seriously gone down hill. Keep an eye on your order as they prepare it and check it before leaving. Seems to be a common complaint.
