Only been a few times but staff were lovely, especially bouncers outside the door. Once didn’t have my ID on a Saturday afternoon but got turned down in the nicest way possible! Eaten here once or twice too, good quality pub food, great prices too! And a great place to go for a night out if you’re not too into clubbing.

Beers cold and the foods good what more do you want.

Was really decent Wetherspoon with cosy interior, nice food and proper selection of local beer from tap! Really pity that turn to incredibly expensive, tacky-posh, chaos jungle of the name Slug & Lettuce.

Good place to go on a night out on Wind Street. Not so good for food in my experience. Good if you're looking for a cheap meal, but was disappointed with the philly steak sub I had. Was mostly bread with minimal filling.

Been before, but this time , grumpy git behind the bar. He should be out the back out of site. Asked him for horseradish sauce for the beef. Haven't got any was the reply. But asked the young lady who brought out our dinner. Yes no problem. Brought some out. . Then sound turned up loud for football. We liked Yates. But not going to return to this one.

Ordered a Medium Rare steak, it was literatly cremated. Chicken wings tasted of charcoal. And ÂŁ4.40 for a koppanberg and ÂŁ2.80 Red bull. Wouldn't waste your time just go to spoons! Staff were considerate when they were told the steak wasn't acceptable gave a refund and a free drink, so staff wise really good food really is one of the worst places I have been.

Good pub, very popular with a friendly atmosphere, plenty of staff. Food is good they have a classic pub style menu. and prices are reasonable, all major sports shown on televisions.

Breakfast we had twice was good value, hot, and the coffee was fine. The one time I also had a pint of The Rev James, and this was clear and well presented.

A typical pub in a town centre. We went for a meal in the evening on a Tuesday, it was quiet and the service was reasonably quick, but they did make a minor mistake and brought rice when asked for chips. The food was nothing special but wasn't too expensive. Unfortunately it didn't feel very welcoming or comfortable, but that may just be my preference. The staff seemed somewhat awkward, like they didn't want to be there and didn't give the best impression.

It was ok. Ive been a couple of times before and for the price it is really good. But since they dropped the price from ÂŁ10 for 2 to ÂŁ7.25 for 2, the food was just warm not hot and like the chef didn't care unless it was a higher priced order. I may be completely wrong and i hope i am. This review is for the recent visit
