Just had suagge batter with chips and Chinese sauce chip like mush not cooked long enough and suagge like eating rubber price ie 2

·

The chips were soggy and undercooked. The fish was wet (dripping and soggy) and we did takeout rather than delivery. Did not finish the meal. Disappointing at best.

·

The food i had was disgusting I came for a nice day out and have a treat for lunch the chips for horrible they tasted like they were asda smart price and the fell apart and mushed when tried to pick them up and they only give me a small battered sausage when I paid for a large it was a really bad meal

Always a friendly service. Nice hot food and choices to choose from. Light fluffy chip's & nice batter on the fish.

Went to this chippy today while shopping in Cwmbran and was absolutely disgusted with how much they charged us! X3 small chips x2 corned beef pasties, x2 small sausage and x2 apple Lidls own brand fruit shoots and x1 can of orange tango and the lady charged us £20.10! Yes we sat in but my god there's no way you can charge an additional £10 for service charge! Absolutely disgusting and the portions were tiny, they seemed to put the pasties in the center of the plate and a very small amount of chips either side.Honestly avoid at all costs if you aren't expecting to pay through the teeth unexpectedly. Can honestly say we will never be returning and will be instructing others to avoid too. You'd expect these kind of rediculous prices from a seaside chippy not one in the center of cwmbran! We couldve all ate at Wetherspoons or harvester with an alcohol beverage for cheaper!

Mr. Chippy certainly lives up to it’s high reputation. My wife and I visited for a late afternoon meal and were greeted by pleasant counter staff, were shown to a table within the spotless dining area and ordered from their varied menu. We were served with delicious cod and chips within minutes accompanied by tea, bread & butter. Very highly recommended.

I used to spend every weekend in here with my mum when I was a kid. She would be sat chatting with her friends and me and my cousin William would tuck into a kids meal. It's still an amazing place for food but they need to pull their finger out with their chips. They are mushy and soggy and not how they should be

·

Clean place with a reasonably priced menu I had fish, chips,, and peas fish was beautiful cook, t the chips and peas were OK, waiters were polite, did have to wait for the meal a while, but that was no big problem, give it a go, but don't expect, cuisine of a high nature, its just a good old fish's hop

·

Great taste chips and other items. Has the advantage of being able to sit down at one of their on site tables to eat your food, or to eat on the go after there quick service.Good prices also.

·

Lush chips and a myriad of alternatives to accompany them. Might have to wait for a table as its small. It's not fine dining but great and fresh every time!
