Page's Fish Bar in Torfaen

Arrived at this premises to Disabled parking space occupied by Delivery drivers working for Paige's(Not a good start).Service leaves a lot to be desired,about 20 minutes before order taken.They seem to have let the deliveries take priority over restaurant customers.Food Good Quality.Unfortunately would not rush back due to above mentioned issues.

Lovely cooked plaice (fish), however, the service is terrible upstairs. The waitress didn't seem to know anything (clearly inexperienced, so why no one was there to supervise her?) and when we asked for some extra sauces she never returned with them! She suddenly disappeared for at least 20 minutes, with no other staff around. We even called the restaurant number to say no was present and still no one arrived! When someone turned up later they still ignored us, by which point there were tons of customers waiting. We will not come here again.

I know we ordered on a Friday night and they are obviously very busy but at the age of 54 probably the worst fish and chips I've ever eaten.Food was delivered in good time and piping hot but that's qs good as it got.Haddock was in a very soggy batter and had obviously been cooked in oil that was very well used and completely tasteless, the chips were soft and greasy and undercooked, again completely tasteless.To top it all my partner found a grey hair an inch and a half long in her meal.Very very poor.

Bit slower this evening but very obliging staff. We were a party of 8, four children and the service was great.

Fab fish and chips! Nice clean place with friendly staff! Must try the luxury fish pie it's amazing.

My mum and daughter had food from here. She paid £11.50 and the food was disgusting . Not worth the money at all this is second time the food has been terrible from pages certainly won't go there again.

Nice well cooked pasty and chips. They don’t put much salt and vinegar on so ask for more if you like your salt and vinegar. Partner had fish and chips which was also perfect but again light on salt. Other than that its a great well portioned venue with ample parking if your eating in or taking away. Bonus that its close to town if your having a shopping day and want to stop for lunch

Last few times we have been to pages restaurant we have experienced the same issues. Order arrives incorrect. Service is just so casual. So we are left looking at our food sitting on the pass, and no one has any get up and go or any concept of customer service. The final nail in the coffin was when we paid and left and later checked the bill and were charged for desert which we never had. To be honest we have always enjoyed going to pages but it just so frustrating experiencing the same issues every time we go.

I think that Paige's quality has dropped off over the last 2 years, portion sizes have reduced, chips portions are commonly small scraggy bits and pieces. The last couple of portions of Calamari have reduced in number and size. When they first started offering this dish they were nice fat meaty squid rings, but now fewer, smaller and comprised mainly of batter. Its a real disappointment.
