My first meal here in a while as I've stayed home due to covid. The procedures in place made me feel safe. The food is as delicious as it's always been. I had chicken in red wine with dauphinoise potatoes, it was so tasty. Of course you have to finish with dessert so ferrero rocher cheese cake was a must! All in my group enjoy their meal. Thanks for a great evening.

PoorWent there with a large party for a family meal and expectations were not met, food was greasy and overpriced for what it was, desert was actually really nice except for the hair that was in it. After pointing this out to staff they were very rude and felt like they were implying i put the hair there, as apparently no staff had that type of hair, when paying the chef confronted me about the hair-cake situation and furthermore implied it was my fault some how, alot of other family members didn't rate the food. Will not be going back againRESPONSE:Wouldn't say its confrontational, just wasn't happy with hair in my food, as you've stated its wirey I can confirm that's not the texture of my hair.Don't think you said sorry once just stated that the hair is none of your staffs.Fair point, but i only asked for goodwill gesture because of the way you handled the situation.Lets be honest here half the burger was left as I couldn't stomach it, so hardly a free meal.On behalf of all my family who I've spoken, no-one apologies for my behaviour as no-one except the 3 people on my table knew it happened till after we left your pub.

Booked a private dining. Warm, friendly service in a very quaint and historic pub. Lovely original stone work visible, fireplace and food was good. Parking is in free car park opposite and there are steps to go down to get in...they didn't have wheelchairs or prams when this place was built but thats part of its evident history and maintained authenticity - thus part of its charm. They aren't difficult to get down with some fore thought. Very helpful with 1 year old, offering high chair and a range of drinks on offer. Lots of original features and family run.

I had heard good things about this lovely little pub restaurant, recently after taking my children back to Cardiff on a Sunday, my partner and myself were really fancying a roast dinner, by chance I remembered this place, phoned up and Lynn fitted us in, what a treat, a fantastic roast beautifully presented. We decided to come back on a Friday evening, again the food was wonderful, the chicken goujons (which is a starter} were huge, it is apparent that the food is produced by a chef and is of a high standard, we have been back several times since, it is truly a lovely cosy pub that has a warm welcome. After visiting several local pubs that are renowned for their food, I can assure you this is the best.

After booking last minute the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The portions are ample and always delicious! Amazing value for money. We had X2 three course meals, a side, three drinks and all under £40!!

What a fantastic place for Sunday Lunch. Highly recommended and extremely reasonable. We were staying in the area and found this place through trip advisor, I'm so glad we did. The staff were friendly and welcoming and there was a very relaxed atmosphere. The Sunday lunch was really tasty, it tasted as good as it looked, and it looked awesome and only £7.45 what a bargain. We also had the Oreo cheesecake and that was amazing! We'll definitely be coming back again very soon regardless of whether we are staying in the area or making the hour or so journey from near Swansea. It's well worth the trip.
