Arrived about 6pm, we were the only people in, 2 adults 2 toddlers. The place seems very outdated, as the old musty smell too, although this isn't an issue but the chairs/benches at table aren't comfy at all. There was about 5 staff members sat around the bar chatting. Service terribly slow as too busy chatting with each other. Drinks took a while to come, then starters came out which was a shared bowl of wings. Way too spicy to eat but not what was advertised on the menu. Kids meals didn't come out until the mains which we asked for them to come with starters. All food beautiful, like 10/10 even the kids food was lovely. Will not return here though due to the atmosphere inside, & attitude of the staff. In clear ear shot of their inappropriate conversations, no service from them whatsoever. Had to ask twice for another drink I didn't get, same asking twice for the bill. We were the ONLY people present in the entire place. Hats off to the chef though!

Went for a evening meal, food was poor, potato skins were basically burnt crisps, steak fajitas were unedible, described as prime steak but that would be true if prime meant they would win in a fight against my jaw, burgers looked sad and chicken wings were that small I genuinely had tears in my eyes laughing that my brother had paid for them, food took a long time to come out even desert where they got the order wrong which was due to the waitress as she just wrote down lemon with two lemon dishes on the menu, staff were nice but surely they can see the state of some of dishes coming out,

Disappointing.Went there for a meal last night as its one of the few places open on a Monday night in the area. Ordered garlic bread and buffalo wings to start but with BBQ sauce not hot sauce. It arrived at the table with hot sauce. Ordered Italian chicken, I asked for salad instead of peas with no onion. It arrived with onion. Jacket potato was under cooked and had to ask for butter. The chicken..... well I may aswel have cooked it at home. Grilled chicken with bland tomato sauce, cheese and a huge dollop of pesto ontop. The menu was very basic, the food was more so. Not many decent veggie options. The 2 star is solely for the staff who were all polite and attentive and sorted out the issues without question.Unfortunately will not be back.

Come for a little mid week meal and have to say I was so pleasantly suprised… Staff were amazing the young gentleman that served us could not do enough and was tentative and a pleasure. The food was delightful we all enjoyed. Loved coming here as a child and so nice to be back here and it hit the same standards. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Got here about 2 o'clock. We were met and welcomed by a lovely young man named Harry. I was really shocked to see that the young man was rushed off his feet by trying to welcome everybody that turned up, serve drinks, take the orders, clean the tables, run back and forth to the kitchen, so serving aswell. Really poor show that the only ones in the place were the young man and the cook. Whilst Harry was dealing with people outside about 2 people were stood at the bar. A disgruntled man then became quite abusive to Harry saying he should serve the ones that was first. Harry, was obviously busy with other people to see exactly who was first in the queue for drinks. Fantastic service by the young man (who stayed professional throughout) and the chef, that, at one point came out to serve the food. Great staff but appalling management.

Food is amazing really good quality. Really friendly staff the only problem was they like to rush you to order food. Wasn't able to sit for a few pints without a member of staff constantly asking us to order. Will visit again just stop pestering us

Had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Wain y Clare last week. Went with all the family, & my mum who is elderly and hasn't been very well lately, we were sat next to the log fire which was wonderful as it was a bit chilly out. Service was great, very attentive. Great choice of lunch, and plenty of it... And I must mention the cauliflower cheese 😍 all I can say is please go! 😊
