Goldberry Bar & Kitchen in East Ayrshire

Just not a great time at all. Waited forever for food for it then to be brought out wrong and needed to be remade. Waitresses were lovely but not managed very well - not their fault. The food was nice enough when we got it until we found a lot of hairs through our cheese nachos. Ate what we could, paid and left. Won’t be back for food which is a shame as the pub itself is lovely.

Came across this place by accident and went in to try. Nice restaurant with a bar with a relaxed atmosphere. We ordered a 8oz rump steak with chips, Pasta carbonara, kids macaroni with chips and a burger with chips. Food was great can't fault anything, the waiting staff were also pleasant. Would definitely be back 👍

If I could leave this complete FARSE of a place ZERO stars, I would!! It has been a complete joke from beginning to end. After being taken into hospital due to COVID19 knowing I couldn't spend one of the limited Mothers' Days I have left with my elderly mother was very depressing.. So I opted to spend the money on a wee meal for her. I Ordered a 3 course meal to be delivered to my mums home between 4.15pm and 4.30pm on the 27th March 2022.. my mum needs to have her meals at a set time due to the medication she is on. At 5pm no meal!! , my daughter phoned to ask where there meal was and they told her they couldnt find the order.. my daughter phoned me IN THE HOSPITAL to ask for the confirmarmation email. Which I gave her, she was then told there had been a mix up, the meal would be there in a hour.. I then receved a call tell me there had been confusions with the driver who had taken 3 other orders but forgotten to lift the other 2!! So the meal would be 40 mins and he would comp my mum some beer.. I explained she doesnt drink so he suggested a 'fruit shoot' or 'J20' Which personally was an insult but I just went with it as all I wanted was to get my mother her dinner!!! Almost 2hours later I phoned at 6.58pm to see where the food was at which point my mum sent me images of a DRY steak soggy cold chips soggy onion rings, sweaty oatcakes, apple crumble with very little apple AND A BOTTLE OF PERONI!!! ... I phoned once again, this time I got a young girl who apologised and offered to resend the J20.. at this stage im not holding my breath!! She apologised and told me to order hadnt even been put through into the kitchen.. at least if your going to lie, be consistant!!! Never EVER AGAIN.. I have read every review for this place and not once to you give feedback to any megitive comments. Thats no way to run any sory of cusiness.

Mother’s Day disaster ! Waited over an hour and a half for food today , the service was shocking . No polite reminder of how much longer we would be waiting, the manager stayed in his office the full time we were waiting , the children were starving by the time the food eventually came out , and my poor mums fish was stone cold and uncooked in the middle ….we had money taken off our bill to compensate but certainly will not be returning any time soon .

Great restaurant the food portions are massive starter's are like mains food is amazing staff very friendly highly recommended for food and drinks

3 of us seated at a table for 2, when other tables available Over an hour for food and Fish was cold. Not one to complain my aunt ate what she could of the fish but didn't touch the chips or peas. Asked for the bill and politely said we were disappointed at the time it took and the fact the fish was cold and we were sorry but we wouldn't be returning. The waitress automatically said "I will get the fish taken off your bill". We did not ask for this to happen. We were then made to feel like serial complainers and only there to con them out of paying our bill. Fact is we were prepared to pay our bill with a bit or constructive criticism which the manager obviously couldn't take. Manager didn't show his or her face, just sent the waitresses to speak to us. There seemed to be alot of staff going in and out of kitchen but not alot of food getting served. If they were short staffed they could have came and said so, but it looked like they were working on takeaway orders rather than concentrating on customers in the restaurant.

Had afternoon tea here with my daughter in law and granddaughter. Great value for money. Choice of sandwiches, beautiful scones clotted cream and jam and other sweet treats. Service was good. Will be back again.

Sunday night takeaway was lovely. Mistake with order sorted quickly by Jonathon, who was really helpful.Disappointed not Ferris ice cream as advertised

Ordered afternoon tea for a group of us and we were left disappointed with the sandwiches part. Felt and looked thrown together. Slim pickings with the fillings. Chicken was hard and chewy. Also many requests for brown bread were actually provided with white bread. Why have this option if its not going to be provided. Not worth the money and would not recommend. Good cakes made this review 2 stars.

I ordered the afternoon tea and it was due to be delivered at 1pm to my mum on mothers day. It didn't arrive till 2.30pm ! No phone call of apology, no recompense, no explanation. My mum said the food was good but when you pay £7.00 for delivery at a pre-set time, and it is delivered an hour and half late, with no communication it isn't a good service, really poor, hence the 2 star. When I did phone there seemed little care from the member of staff, that the delivery at that point was 1 hour late. I wouldn't recommend or use again.
