Poor poor place , food inedible, arrived Xmas day for 4.30pm sitting at £60 a head £30 for my granddaughter, waited 2hrs for soup which arrived at 6 30 pm main coarse was sirloin of beef of which I've never tasted anything as poor and definitely didn't look like any sirloin I have ever seen a the puddings were just inedible, my granddaughter for £30 recieved a piece of garlic bread and her main was inedible chicken nougats and was never even offered a sweet and by this time we had been in the place 4hrs and of the 6 or 7 tables that were all full everyone complaining about quality of food and the length of time they had to wait , I felt so sorry for the waitresses as they appeared to take the brunt of the complaints whilst the manageress hide in the kitchen, I can honestly say we will never be back at this horrible place, the only way I gave it 1 star is because I can't give a zero

Awfulfood. Went for Christmas lunch and have never had such a bad meal anywhere. Was just terrible. Soup wasn't cooked, still raw veg and lentils and no seasoning. Beef was tough, roast potatoes tasted like they had been cooked days ago and reheated hours before or frozen ones which had already been reheated some time ago then stuck in the microwave again to warm up. Trifle wasnt a trifle, have no idea what the frozen yucky stuff they gave us was but it was inedible like the rest of the meal, also seemed like it had been defrosted weeks ago, was just a pile of hard slices of goodness knows what. There were lots of full plates going back to the kitchen. Restaurant was freezing. No atmosphere at all. Prices for meals were ridiculous. Ignored our comments re poor food. Would definately not recommend. Ruined our Christmas for sure, and our pockets.

Lovely staff, all very helpful and chatty. The food was OK. Safe bet for a meet and chat with friends, but don't expect a delicious meal.

Great Sunday Roast, healthy portions and the Yorkie puddings were great, Top side of beef was delicious, only downside gravy was very salty and not a great dessert choice, but overall very good and a great atmosphere with the live band on Sunday. Staff are all very nice also.

Went for lunch and had a lovely bowl of home made soup and crusty roll , menu was varied and all looked lovely. Price really good and staff could not be more helpful. Will definitely go again.

The staff are friendly it's nice inside. The food is ok but there's just something missing. I just couldn't quite relax. That's not to say you wouldn't like it just not for us.
