Lovey tranquil setting . Lovely restaurant. Food very good and staff very nice . Would highly recommend.

Fantastic to be back on the first day they opened back up . The food was great and nothing was to much bother for the staff . I liked it so much I'm booked back in for next sunday

Woodlands Restaurant, Dumfries House was amazing!!!! We had such a good time. Food was plentiful and beverages flowing plus it was quite tasty. We sat in the VIP section so we arrive quite early to get the best seat and they were amazing. If you are a fan of Drag Race this is a must stop on your visit. Handicapped accessible but isles are narrow so tell them of your needs. Wait staff were very attentive and fun!!

Sunday Lunch overload in beautiful surroundings. What could be better, a walk, a fantastic lunch with your extended family and listening to happy, sated people at the other tables. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, the staff very attentive and the food was fantastic. If you get the chance to eat here, jump at it.

Great staff, simple basic decor. Starter very good but my steak was a bit odd. I've never had a rare steak presented without it having being seared in a pan or on a very hot grill. A bit disappointing and the only reason for the three stars.

I'm struggling here as I understand this is part of a valuable training project and I'd like it to succeed. Thefood was very good indeed. The number of stars I have given does not reflect the high standard of the cooking but the overall impression. The staff was attentive, willing and well-informed. However the place, though warm (not to be underestimated in our part of the world) and bright, lacked atmosphere and other customers. It wasn't cheap so, if the branding is intended to be upmarket, I'm sorry but I think one member of staff could consider dressing a little less casually. I hope the cuisine continues to be very good, as that is what will lure customers so far out of town on dark nights.

Thoroughly enjoyable Saturday evening visit, the experience was heightened by our maitre'd who went out of her way to make the evening enjoyable. How the experience could be improved, perhaps with an Amuse-Bouche or similar. We must try Sunday Lunch before too long.

Wonderful food and a great setting. Service was excellent and an ideal place for our Christmas night out.
