I need six stars!!! Amazing as always! It's been a long time due to Covid but what a transformation now restaurant reopened! Totally transformed and decor upgraded to a different level. Well done guy's! Mohamed, your Lamb is unbelievable as usual. For something different folks, try the fish pakora.......wow!!

Quick, delicious and good value..great food.

Excellent!! The staff couldn't have been nicer and the management were the same . They gave us exactly what we asked for & there wasn't any problems. The food is excellent. I marked it down a star as the decor wasn't 5* ( decor possibly 3-4* )but the food was along with the staff . Highly recommended.

My favorite Indian restaurant in my area. Always satisfied whether its takeaway or eating in the restaurant. Great service from plesant staff. Nicely rounded off with gulab jamun, yum

A very weird restaurant experience.Let me add a bit of context before getting in to the detail.We was in the area staying in Kilbirnie for a break after travelling up from the Bolton in the Northwest of England. Bolton is a highly populated area with a wide mixture of cultures with a high prominence of Asian people which has resulted in a lot of indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi restaurants in the area. This has exposed me to a lot of Indian dishes so my views may be different from the locals here in Scotland.(It's only fair that I mention this)Note: This restaurant also do takeaway and delivery and offer pizza, kebabs etc as well as curry dishes.After reading positive reviews on Google we (me, my partner and 5 year old daughter) decided to dine at Anayas for dinner.We arrived shortly after they opened and was attended to within 30 seconds by a polite, smartly dressed gentleman who seated us immediately. He was very polite and well mannered. We were the only customers in the restaurant for the duration of our visit.The place seemed to be recently refurbished, the dining area was clean and and tidy, it was neatly laid out and had a nice modern contemporary decoration with tables and booth seating. They had nice Indian background music at a low level. The atmosphere/ambience was slightly cold but calm and not negative.The table was only set for 2 but the waiter said he can arrange more plates etc.We order our food and a pizza for our daughter. We were presented with some papadoms and an onion/sweet chilli type chutney whilst we waited for the starters. The onion chutney was a little different from what we receive in England but it was really nice. The papadoms were over cooked and were browned in the middle and one of them was stale as if it was cooked a few hours before.The starters arrived, bland in flavour. Our daughters pepperoni pizza arrived and it looked very nice but we didn't taste it. It was a large portion and she said it was nice but only finished 2 pieces. When it arrived it was seved on a Large plate. We asked for a plate for her to eat it from and the waiter said "shall we use this one" a used one from my papadoms. I didn't mind it being used but In the hospitality industry this is an unheard-of and unorthodox practice to reuse someone else's plate. It's a 100% no no.The mains were served promptly after but non of the dishes were served with spoons or cutlery, we had 2 spoons left over for our starter so made do. No knife and fork or other cutlery was brought out with the mains.One of the dishes we ordered was off the menu veg sagg (spinach) This arrived like baby food. Pureed spinach with a prominent ginger taste. It had frozen carrots and peas out of a bag that had not been cooked through completely and were very firm and a powdery spice taste like the spices had not been cooked through. This was not like a sagg we have ever experienced.We also ordered a side of tarka Dhal which was nothing like a Tarka Dhal ever experienced before. It did not have a Tarka on it but was more like a lentil puree curry in consistency. It again had frozen under cooked veg and a prominent ginger taste with undercooked spices. It was so far away from how the dish should be.We ordered roti's(flat breads) which were very nice.A young girl was also working in the restaurant but didn't seem to make eye contact like she was inexperienced and was in untrained. She's didn't engage in any conversation or ask how anything was. The original waiter did ask if everything was OK once during the meal and Brought us additional drinks.Whilst the place seemed clean in the eating area my daughter did point out some Spiders and cobwebs. I took my daughter the mail toilet during the visit that looked like it was recently modernised but not cleaned. The toilet was dirty and so was the urinals. They also had a bacteria that I suspected is Serratia marcescens growing in them. (also known as pink mold)

The Buffet meal tonight was First Class,a Big varied portion of Starters,then eat as much as you want from the piping hot selection of Chicken,Lamb and vegetarian curries.if you have left room for a Sweet,there are lots to choose from the chilled glass cabinet,Chocolate cakes, Cheesecake,Ice-cream and fruits.i enjoy my Indian curries and ate in many restaurants locally and abroad,Anayas in Kilbirnie is hard to better in quality or price.i will certainly be back.
