Came here for breakfast, we waited 1 hour and were about to leave as it was getting closer to lunchtime than breakfast time.We had a cola, orange juice and a latte, all were served in FILTHY glasses with black particles, I could understand that in the latte. Maybe the machine had not been cleaned that day, but the orange juice??? How are you cleaning your glassware2 young girls were our waitresses, one was nervous which no problem with that (dark hair), Erin however (young blonde girl) might need to reconsider her her decision for a customer facing role. From the outset she was simply rude, literally huffingThe food itself, despite the wait, was ok, especially for the price so no complaints for the chef but we won’t be coming back again

We stayed here for 2 nights on a great deal which including an evening meal and breakfast. Hotel was very nice, Room was very clean with a great sea view and a complimentary bottle of wine. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location looking on to the promenade and 5 minutes walk in to the town. Would definitely stay here again.

We are here just now. Room 208. The view looks out onto waterfront which is great. With the unusual stunning weather for March we are watching a beautiful sunset with our meal. The room is clean, comfortable and lovely decor. Great supply of tea and coffee for the room. We were a bit nervous given the negative reviews. That has not been our experience. The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. Food is really nice. Lots of choices on set menu. Portions very big. So much so that we were in such a food coma we never went to breakfast the next morning as we were so full from the night before. The only negative I would say is that it is not suitable for anyone who has difficulty managing stairs. There is no lift and I didn't see a ramp on access. I know people have been complaining about the parking issue. But having previously researched the hotel and seen there was an issue I asked at reception and the girl kindly directed me to using the ipad to register my car.

Hotel been done up nicely inside but the afternoon tea was awful. Sandwiches so tough that my auntie couldn’t get her knife through, and so dry they couldn’t be eaten, cold bitter coffee, scones hard and dry, (the carrot cake was decent) and the staff even admitted they get complaints about the afternoon tea often. Such a shame and a simple thing to fix, it just needs some love, some fresh dainty sandwiches and a fresh baked scone. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Food was very nice for the price. Good size portions. Comfortable surroundings. Staff were working hard. They are a credit to your hotel.

Sunday food was baked dry as it was obviously cooked well in advance of us sitting down.We were caught up in the car parking scam the hotel is operating with their car parking managers. We spent over £154 for food and days later we received a letter that we were parked illegally. When we contacted the manager ( Cathy ) she tried to fob us off with she only manages the hotel not the car park. It is obvious she has not trained any the staff to advise that cars need to be logged in if you are using the car park whilst using the hotel. Furthermore signage is totally inadequate as none of the six adults in our party caught site of the notice.Like others who have reported this scam I will be contacting the local MSP and licensing authority to find out how they are getting away with this.

This hotel does not even deserve a star.Avoid , Avoid , Avoid.£170 parking fine , Hotel staff very unhelpful......what happened to basic customer service??After reading previous bad reviews regarding parking , why is this hotel not doing everything they can to make customers aware of fact that car park is not ‘free’ for residents??Is this a SCAM of sorts ?Planning to contact local newspaper and MSP For Largs.....shameful behaviour!!

I went to a function on the 28th of December which was good and when finished we went to the other bar for a couple of drinks and the waitresses were very good and friendly. After we bought our 2nd drink the night porter came through mask just covering his top lip and his words were are you hotel guests we said no he said well drink up and get out.I replied I have just bought these and not Rushing it. He stayed in the bar and hovered I was appalled at how he spoke to us I have been goin to the Brisbane for years and have always recommended it but your night porter spoiled a nice night.😡😡

I don't know where to start with our experience at the brisbane. We stayed over the Christmas period in the honeymoon room. Issues with the room to start, TV didn't have signal, heater didn't work, the bathroom fan sounded like a motorbike running, pink love heart confetti next to the bed, light shades covered in flys and to top it off there wasn't any hot water for the bath or shower. Dinner was terrible and not worth the money, hard veg that I couldn't bite through, no joke. My partner had goats cheese, which she described as tasting like sick. I tried a little bit and to me it tasted like Stilton, it was rotten. We did complain and they knew all about the issue but continued to serve it. The service wasn't the best either, I know venues employ new staff but one couldn't work the till and the other didn't know how to pour the drink I order, Not professional enough for our future plans at the brisbane. The next day my partner was ill and couldn't eat her Christmas Dinner without having to run to the toilet. We also got double charged for our room and didn't receive a refund for 5 days after. The brisbane was suppose to be our wedding venue in 2023 but we have since cancelled and lost our deposit.Wish we had looked more into the reviews for this venue before booking.
