Cechinis in North Ayrshire

This is such a beautiful restaurant with great views. I was in today for a coffee with my sister. The waitress was brilliant such a sweetie. Very attentive and went out her way to tell me about the menu. Will be back with friends. 😀

Food was good but the service not so much. I would have given this place a lower star rating but the food saved it.Booked a table a week in advance for 4, 2 adults 2 children. Was seated in a bar with drunk loud customers. Asked to move but was told no. Staff took a long time to serve us. I had to go and find the staff in order to pay. Some of the staff were rude and unfriendly. I believe one may have been the owner, he was not rude but started clearing away our table while some of us were still eating and drinking. The younger staff were very nice.This is the 3rd time I have been here in 7 years or so. First time I had no complaints, the 2nd time the experience made me not want to go back, that was about 5 years ago. I was talked into going back this time but there won't be a 4 th time.

I have been here a couple of times with family and certainly not my choice after my 1st encounter ! If you're lucky enough to get the correct dish / meal that you ordered & I would put a large bet on the fact you will have to send it back to the kitchen !! It is most likely to come to you either raw or not properly cooked . The possibility of the combination of both with the bonus of it tasting not right ( OFF ! ) if you're lucky . Some of the staff are pleasant enough but watch out for the 50% of staff that are either down right obnoxious & most definitely rude , in manners , personality & attitude.. The setting is nice enough but the seating arrangements are not !! Watch out for this also .. Don't think that you're going to get any discount for any of their mistakes / faults .. A cracking view into the harbour only let down by the Management, chefs & waiting staff ! Try at your own risk ..I'm sorry the 1 star should have been 4 or 5 for the setting but -1 for the actual food & staff .

I really enjoyed going to this restaurant before lockdown. The food and atmosphere was great. But sadly all this has changed. I was really disappointed with the food, as for atmosphere,there was none on this particular night. This might have been due to us going through the week and not at the weekend. On a positive note the restaurant is in a great location overlooking the marina and the staff are very friendly. Although I was disappointed on this occasion I would still go back again as this was one of our favourite restaurants before lockdown. This is why I have decided to change my review from a 1 star to a 3 star review as I felt I was being a bit harsh. Hopefully next time I won’t be as disappointed with the food and my next review will be a 5 star review.

Absolutely gorgeous. Amazing food full of taste and not overdone with herbs and spices like some Italian based places. We have been twice this past week. The food is reasonably priced at around £10 per meal however the drinks are a little expensive. I was happy with a tap water.

Pretty good. Atmosphere upstairs always better than downstairs. Typical Italian food - not outstanding but not poor either. Very young waiting staff employed, some with very limited experience of dealing with the public.

Food was Absolutely gorgeous. Best Pesto Pasta I've had. All other food was amazing too and all served by wonderful obliging staff. If ever back in the area will most definitely return. Huge thank you.

Disappointed as they take it for granted just to be there…No flavour at all. Looks good but how can you say that this is portobello? That’s champignon….Anyway…. Won’t come back. The Marina should have a better resto to serve us sailors. At least authentic.

Lovely setting with both outdoor/indoor seating overlooking the marina. Nice Italian meal and friendly staff.
