Great place for a family day out, things to do for all ages, 2 play parks, some animals, nice walk through the park passing the castle and some waterfalls, mini museum of past life and the tools they used, nice little cafe, a shop and also a burger van. Highly recommend this place for a family day out...

Awesome family day out. We took our kids aged 5-15 and they all enjoyed it. Playparks, adventure playgrounds and secret forest all well worth it

Absolutely stunning place. So much walking space where you can forget about the city life. Lovely castle, the graffiti makes it a very unusual building. Worth visiting.

What a place!! Lovely drive from Glasgow, most of the fun things for the kids are now closed, maintenance during winter. But if you have some spare time to dedicate to a nice walk and adventure in the woods, this is the right place for you. Parking is £5 and there is a cafe as well. The castle with its art is just fabulous and so unique, the gardens are so well maintained and you can see horses about and you can also get riding lessons there. Gold course too. Largs is just there and it is such a pleasant town with its gorgeous promenade. Worth going a bit out of your way to discover this beauty, and I am looking forward to going back in spring time to get my wee ones excited in the play barn and play park!

The most colourful castle I have every seen!! You cannot go into the actual castle, but it is a sight to see. The grounds are well kept and there are trails yo follow around. We went down to the waterfall which was lovely.

This Castle has some really wonderful walks and attractions. Children of all ages will love the Secret Forest with its Goblins, Witches and secret paths and tunnels. The camp site is basic but very friendly and allows fires, great for keeping the midges away. Definitely recommend a visit 👌

5 pound payment for car parking is quite expensive. If coming by public transport, however, there is no entry fee. The park is massive and has waterfalls, hidden sculptures, a pretty castle and many other things. It's perfect for a day trip.

Lovely place for a nature walk and plenty of play areas for the children.suitable for families with children for all of the above as well as the few animals there: alpacas, chicken, goats and Franklin the turkey. The castle is on the small side but a nice touch with the graffiti on a side of it.Well worth a visit!

Lovely day out revisiting the secret forest with our teenage daughters. Brought back memories of previous visits when they were little. Walked with dog through the glen and gardens enjoying the peace and beautiful views. Had a picnic lunch and ice creams from van on site and coffees and cake from the cafe. There is a great outdoor fort play area for kids and they can also do a quiz as they explore the secret forest. Still a great day out for all the family!
