Great spot for lunch after a windy walk along the front. Nice atmosphere and good choices, toasties were delicious and it had a great atmosphere. Will be back !

The family and I have been here a few times and it's one of out favourite spots for breakfast or brunch. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the shop is also dog friendly. The food and cakes are high quality and you will be leaving with a belly full, just like I do on every visit. We have never been disappointed with the food or service. We would highly recomend a wee visit.

What an amazing first Gro experience. The staff were all absolutely lovely and so welcoming and chatty. My breakfast was beautiful, I had the Wee Gro Breakfast, my friend had the tortilla dish and my partner had bacon, toast, sausages and haggis. The haggis was amazing! All of our food was demolished and the others even squeezed in the donut and bun! The milky bar milkshakes were delicious. Can't wait to go back!

Quite busy on the day we went so there was a short wait for a table. There's a large selection of cakes and also an extensive drinks menu, including hot drinks, smoothies, shakes and alcohol. Caters unusually well for babies, children and dogs (dogs are allowed inside the shop).Staff were all friendly, pleasant and extremely helpful 😊

Every time we come here it's so crowded. This indicates a consistent high quality of the food. I genuinely never tasted delicious pancakes in places other than GRO. Even though we sat on the breakfast bar as there wasn't an available table, we really enjoyed our time there.

Travelled from Glasgow. Was told 45 min wait for a table for 4 (2 adults & 2 children), which was fine and as expected - as we've been a couple of times before so know how it works. They take your number, you go for a walk and they phone you when they have a table ready for you. Today we waited 1hr and 15mins for a table despite being told it was a 45 min wait. When we did eventually get a table, we ordered some cakes, coffee's and a toasties. After waiting another hour, the toasties hadn't arrived, so we ended up cancelling. 2hrs 15 mins after we first walked through the doors, we left without the toastie we came for. Food looks great too, just a pity we didn't get to try it. The empire biscuit was good, but not as good as Dandelion's. Service was extremely poor and the waiting times for food are ridiculous. Not the best and definitely not worth travelling all the way to Irvine for! Better places in Glasgow.

Was delighted to get a table for 2 within 2 minutes of arriving on a Saturday afternoon, as I know it is so popular. Forgot the portion sizes are generous, so next time will ask for kids size! Good friendly service and lovely relaxed, dog friendly vibe. Food tasty but bit too much, love the real tea in a pot. Nice table view looking out onto back garden full of happy families and dog lovers.

Great place although very busy. 40 min wait for table. Nice cakes. Biggest strawberry tart you've ever seen

After a lovely 2 hour walk on Irvine Beach we then stopped in Gro for lunch. Lovely Dog Friendly cafe and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend.

We are visiting Irvine for 10 days and we were hoping to find a wee spot to relax, chill and have great food. It’s not easy these days to find a place that offers all the above for a reasonable price.GRO became our spot. Already three visits and more to come. The staff is lovely, friendly and very professional. The service is great, the food is delicious and lots of healthy options which we appreciate. The cafe/restaurant itself is very cosy and well decorated. We felt like at home. The playlist is fab and in evening you can have a drink with well chosen music.By the way, the sweet treats are to die for.The beer garden is also a great spot and family friendly and GRO is 5 min from the sea coast.
