I visit Arran at least 5 times a year . I have never had a bad meal and I have tried everything on the menu. The food is really good and would recommend you try it . Really convenient as you come of the ferry. They also coped really well though covid always able to deliver. A safe environment with sheild protecting staff and customers.

Didn't like the battered fish. The batter was soggy and the fish was tasteless. Chips were ok.

1 star only awarded for being open when I arrived....For a chippy being right next to a harbour/water on an island..... Absolutely terrible and the price equally as bad!I always leave a good review if it's deserved but seriously someone needs to open up a good chippy in Brodick!Batter on the fish was like mush, and chips hardly even cooked fully.Locals and visitors shouldn't really need to be firstly held to ransom with the prices never mind the quality of the food, probably one of the worst fish suppers I've had anywhere in Scotland or the UK.... I drive nearly 2700 miles every week..... And I'm Scottish.***In response to your reply 03/04/2022.... ***Admittedly I agree, yes prices have went up but I am not the only reviewer who has said your quality of food is frankly diabolical, it's rotten, and I can only assume from the ones who left positive feedback have either caught the shop on a good day or happy to accept sub standard food.... End of the day....look at all my reviews I'm very very fair but I won't hold back if something is rubbish!Do you see how many bad comments you actually have?How many have said they'll never be back.... ?That one reviewer may tell 2 people.... Simple as that.Are you going to blame Putin and covid for all them?I'm sorry you don't appear to like my comment and apologies for not taking it up with the shop directly but firstly I noticed the quality of the food once I was about 4 mile round the island and secondly, it's good to let other people know what I expected and got, but as *a family run* business u really should be striving in excellent quality food to continue to support your family's income, or are we going to hold the fish to blame for not cooking itself?You don't even have available Goldstar chippy sauce in brown or red.... Can't think of any chippy in Scotland that doesn't use it or stock the small bottles of it to buy... Around a £1.30 a bottle retail.... For information purposes 👍Quality comes at a price.... And maybe now it's time to take heed of reviews, unfortunately looking through many of the reviews the quality is what the shop lacks but the profit seems to be the important factor!Maybe visit a mainland chippy.... Compare quality!

Avoid like the plague…..or you might get the plague.From first impression of walking through the door to trying to dissect the soggy mess that was supposed to resemble a fish supper before binning it was an overly negative experience.We walked into an empty shop, no food ready on hot plates (this should have been a sign) empty fridges not even as much as a can of coke to offer and not a single other person in the shop (yet again should’ve been a sign)The service was about as soggy as the fish nothing like the service you receive elsewhere on the island, got stared at as if we had walked into a private members club without an invite. The young girl serving clearly didn’t know what she was doing nor did it seem as if she was in the slightest bothered that she didn’t know what was happening, she was more concerned with detailing how she was going out to get pished at the weekend.Although no other customers were anywhere to be seen we waited longer than expected for two fish suppers, once the guy served up the fish it looked as if it was anemic. I had asked for extra salt and vinegar on one but this still wouldn’t explain what we were served. Both fish were soggy, undercooked and sticky with what could only be described as wallpaper paste. The chips weren’t much better they were stuck together but who knows maybe they were stuck together because of the wallpaper batter.Being of a cheffing background myself I can instantly tell you the batter was far too thick and undercooked, what we did eat before deciding it belonged in the bin has left us feeling as flat as the fish they served us, and almost £20 lighter.Very disappointing to end our tip on Arran but thankfully there’s a coop around the corner with some very friendly helpfully staff, I recommend you go there instead.

Would not recommend. Chips half cooked and very greasy. Battered pizza tastes and looks like it’s coated in potato, also very greasy. Could not eat as what we have ate has made us feel like we are going to die

A very tasty fish and chip shop located conveniently adjacent to the ferry terminal in Brodick. When I arrived the chippie was deserted but, within minutes, the place had filled and there was clearly going to be a long wait for food. As the one and only chip shop on Arran, I suspect wait times in peak season might be quite long. Having said that, if you want tasty chips and friendly service, this is the place to visit on Arran.

Ordered a pizza with haggis and chilli and took over 25 mins which is rather disappointing. I make my own 12 inch pizza at home and can cook it in 20mins. This pizza was 10” and thinner than mine.The haggis was an extra £1. Which Again is disappointing very fugal with the haggis and could hardly taste the haggis.The cheese topping was ok def not quality cheese. Total for the pizza with extra topping £9.Only good point I could find was the pizza base. Thin and crusty…maybe too thin for the price. It was obv that the person making the pizza was still in training as he kept asking the owner/other staff if it was ready but not want to criticises that person as he is only being told what to do.

The food was very poor, I ordered chips and doner meat, the portion size was on the small side, the doner meat wasn't doner meat at all it was fake doner meat, it looked like strips of deep fried leather and the prices to portion size is ridiculous as well, they tried charging more than the price stated on their menus

Small fish and chips shop near the ferry terminal. Not loads of parking nearby but it's possible to park farther into the town and walk five minutes back. Huge portions for a good price. Smoked haddock fish cakes were divine and the chips had plenty of vinegar on them. Quite a lot of batter on the fish, but it was easy to remove and the fish was tasty. Battered sausage also had a lot of batter but was tasty underneath. Good spot if you're looking for a cheap and tasty meal.
