My husband had been wanting seafood on our trip to Arran. We drove to Mara fish bar after placing an order and we weren't disappointed. The food was fresh and lovely. We had mussels, and a coley goujoun open sandwich. I even tried an oyster for the first time.

I really don't have much to say about this place other than wow!Fresh ingredients, exciting food - refreshing step away from your typical seafood menu.Staff were super friendly and it's pretty reasonably priced for what your getting.I would get the ferry over to Arran just for a meal here. I love how you can go online and order in advanced too. Would 100% recommend.

Visited just last week and had the most incredible meal. Opted for the vegan option of a banana blossom curry and it was beautifully cooked and so fresh. Staff were friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our visit. Will definitely be back!

Visited here on my first visit to Arran and I will 100% be back! The staff are so lovely and really attentive, the fish was incredibly fresh and some of the best I’ve had. I had mussels in white wine and pesto sauce and it was incredible!! Great veg and vegan options for my friends too and topped off with a really delicious brownie - would definitely recommend!!! 10/10, and really lush views from the restaurant 🌊

We only spent four days on Arran. Discovered this place on Day 2 and loved it so much we squeezed in a second visit! Mussels in Carribbean curry sauce - amazing! Hake - delicious. On our second visit we had chips (fabulous chips), an open fish sandwich and fish tacos. All delicious though the fish tacos were very small. Really friendly staff. You can take the food away or eat in if there's a table. It's also very close to benches by the sea and we sat there one day and admired the view. Would definitely return if we went back to Arran.

What a great place if you love fish dishes. Well prepared portions and superb tastes. It was so good we went back next day to try some other dishes. Highly recommended. Check opening times first.

Some of the best fish we've ever had! The Goan Fish Curry and Smoked Haddock Mac n Cheese were the ones! ☝️Also Best coffee on the island. The music was 👌 and the people were super friendly and helpful...all around good vibe. I would highly recommend when you are visiting Arran 😎

We thought this was a fish and chip shop but it is not. They do a variety of eat in or take way meals. We tried the Hake and roast vegetable take away meal and it was fabulously tasty. They also do various breads which we did not have time to explore. Not cheap but good value for money. Only open two days a week so check first.

Lovely little fish bar overlooking the bay. The BBQ was going and the smells were amazing. We had the mussels in garlic butter, cajun Hake burger with butternut squash, hasselback potatoes and arran mustard roasted carrots. The food was delicious, hot and really fresh.Well worth a visit. Order in advance to ensure you can get what you want. 👍
