Rowan Tree Restaurant and Garden Centre in North Ayrshire

Have been here a few times and food has always been good. Badly let down by the toilets. Each time I visit think the toilets will surely have been improved but been again today and they are exactly the same. Wet floor and no lock on door. Surely a door lock wouldn't break the bank

Another first visit, situated on the coast road between Ardrossan and Largs (nearer to Ardrossan really), sat in a front booth with a great scenic view of the sea and the Isle of Arron. Had three teas, although one should have been an American flat, and a sample of cake. All very nice. Apart from the drinks mix up, service was great and staff very friendly. It's also a garden centre, which we didn't visit this time.

Very nice place to stop for a meal or light lunch on route to/from Largs or Greenock. Fast service and friendly staff. Will definitely come back here.

Good service and Covid19 precautions. Great views across to Arran. My spag bol was sitting in water. Perhaps not well drained. The sauce was sour and spiced with cloves which I don't like. Parmesan provided on request tasteless. Panini was fair but crisps were MSG flavoured! Chicken fairly processed. Chips side were brilliant. Will get loaded fries next time.

Friendly and helpful staff, great food and great value for money. Thanks. We will be back! We enjoyed our first visit and it won't be our last.

Food was not so good! Plenty of it but would not recommend . On plus side waitress was lovely very pleasant. Won’t be going back

Three if us went for lunch and it was abysmal. Took far too long and the food was awful. To add insult to injury it was overpriced. Used to be a good place to have lunch but after yesterday we won't be back

It’s a location for a sunny day, where you can park and get to the beach across the road. There are other car parks nearby. I went on a Sunday morning for a breakfast and it was very disappointing - the food was at variable temperatures as if some had been microwaved or cooked earlier and reheated. One toilet was broken and the whole place looked quite shabby and under invested. The staff were friendly and certainly service was brisk. It’s a cafeteria rather than a restaurant. Every space is cluttered with tourist goods or garden ware. There is a garden centre attached. Would I revisit? Sadly no, unless for a coffee, garden goods or a walk along the beach with an ice cream from their freezer.
