Shan Moon in North Ayrshire

Used this place for the last six months and i ordered tonight. Only to get home with great disappointment. Everything was bland. Called them to say i wasn't happy and if they had changed the chief to be told no and that nothing had changed in 25 yrs. I beg to differ as i had a takeaway a month ago and it was nothing like that. Never seen fried rice like that in my life, satay was swimming in grease and chicken in gravy was all conjealed as if it had been sitting for days. They have lost a weekly customer. If this is now their standards, stay away

Me and my partner love our takeaways especially the muchie boxes but for the first time this munchie box was tasteless. Gravy tasted like watery bisto, sweet and sour sauce, nothing sweet about it and lacked the pineapple and tomatoes. The rice looked like Indian rice. Chicken wings were just salty. Point blank, the whole food isn't worth the money so we ended up ordering another from the Beijing. Blows Shan Moon right out the water so never order from there folks

Best Chinese food in the local area. Staff are really lovely, delivery is fast and the honey chicken is delicious

Waited over an hour and a half for delivery and the food was poor. Spring rolls soggy, chicken wings very dry, beef curry was poor spent over £30 for 4 of us and not one of us enjoyed it. Shame as this is usually a nice Chinese but sadly quality has went right downhill. Would not order again.

June 2020. Wish I'd read the reviews first lol. Just ordered chow mein and salt & chilli chips.. worst food I've ever been served. The chips are just a box of absolutely disgusting reheats.. no salt & chilli. Wish I could post a photo. The chow mein had a bad flavour and was mostly slimey onions. There's really no need to be serving food that bad!!

Friendly staff, efficient service. Unfortunately the food was so bland. Chicken Satay skewers with no flavour whatsoever, very mild curry sauce. Fried rice very strange indeed. Disappointing overall.

Not as good as it used to be. New chf, new suppliers?Chicken breast tough, grisly. Watery curry sauce, everything too salty, fried rice greasy, boiled rice watery. Staff are nice enough, could do without the delivery drivers hanging around though.Definitely taken a downturn in last few weeks.Big improvement this week - gave it another try and so much better. Food was massively better, well done.10th November 2018.Another massive downturn on the food.Chicken was way undercooked, suspect it was off. Watery curry sauce again far too many onions in it.Greasy and soggy spring rolls. Fried rice full of lumps of eggReally terrible meal. Threw it in the bin.The delivery drivers hanging around were as delightful as ever.

We have come to Scotland on holiday the usually Chinese/Indian/desert shop we use sugar and spice has closed so we thought we would go down and try this is as this was the closest one to us. We ordered 1 chicken chowmein and 1special chow mien this was absolutely appalling it had no flavour just had plain noodles fried in oil and chicken and was absolutely gross! We ordered satay chicken also which was bland had no flavour and was lumpy which was the exact same with the beef curry thick and lumpy as if someone was sick in the food. We also ordered special fried rice which they charged us for!! And gave us egg fried rice after we traveled down to collect the food! We then rang them up to tell them the issue we had with the food and we then told them it was wrong and we wanted special friend rice with bbq sauce rather than gravy and wanted it with free delivery! What do they go and bring! Special fried rice with gravy that I wouldn’t have even fed my dogs that was lumpy when I called to ask for the refund they told us that they can send the driver back for the refund but to send the food back to them which was bizzare as why would they need it back what are they gonna do sell it on! Absolutley disgusting service had an argument over a refund as at first they would give us one! Would never ever use this place again absolutely disgusting food and service! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Watery tasteless chow mein and equally tasteless gravy,which has all just landed in the bin. Chicken looked as if it had been boiled. Delivery was quick hence one star,not much point though when it was inedible

Worst Chinese I've had. Everything was cold (1 year old was eating it as soon as it came). Satay sauce had no taste atal. Curry was lumpy, chips were hard. Rice was about the best thing on the plate. First time ordering from here and don't plan on ordering again
