Only stopped for food and drink. Very good. No complaints. Great location. Handy for the ferry terminal

Didn't stay over here, but came in on a busy night needing food. Staff were absolutely lovely and managed to squeeze me and my partner in.Food was great and exactly what we needed after a long day walking, all provided by super friendly staff.

Stayed in the Hotel during a winter storm. The Goat Fell Suite has a stunning view and is grand, spacious and comfortable. Staff were incredible - helpful, friendly, welcoming. Vegan options were appreciated though the veggie cooked breakfast needs and update as it's a bit 90s. Lovely snug area for drinks, chatting and board games.

Had a lovely couple of nights at the Douglas. Room was lovely with a beautiful view. Staff were always so pleasant and very helpful. Both dinner and breakfast service is very well done. Great location and well looked after hotel. Will be back again!

I have eaten at The Douglas Hotel twice - once sitting in the Bistro and once sitting in the Bar - and enjoyed both experiences. It is very well positioned near the ferry so makes the perfect place to stop for a meal on arriving at Arran. I ate the fish and chips the first time and they were fine but the second time I had the rib eye steak and it was really excellent - perfectly cooks, good size, everything you could want. The service was friendly both times and I will be going back again

Stayed for New Year, the celebrations for which had to be scaled down due to current restrictions. The hotel did well to ensure a memorable time was had. The staff were helpful & friendly especially so when the ferries were cancelled and we had to book back in for an extra night. The only drawback to the hotel is that there wasn't a residents bar & at times it was difficult to get a seat for a drink due to the high number of non residents who were appreciating the food & views in the bar.

What an stunning first meal out as a married couple. Amazing service, our waiter was fantastic and made us feel so welcome and the reception staff were also brilliant.Amazing food. First vegan steak I've ever had and I want another one, the chips were spot on too. Husband loved his burger and won't stop talking about it now. I could eat the bread platter for the rest of my life tbh - loved it.We can't wait to go back again. We'd be there regularly if we lived in the island.

Me like! Popped in here whilst waiting for the ferry, just across the road. A very attractive establishment with attentive staff and a well stocked bar, including the local Arran gin, whisky and ale. I didn't eat but the meals on other tables did look good. A lovely lounge with big windows, the tables by the windows being very popular. I would like to return there on day and actually stay a couple of nights, so as to enjoy Arran, and The Douglas more

This is a boutique hotel, a lovely place to stay .. but not cheap for food or drink either. The location and rooms are excellent, the food is very good. the staff were all nice enough but the service was very slow & sloppy. Not good enough @ the prices being charged.Management need to make sure the staff pay attention to what they are supposed to be doing. Def gone downhill from several previous visits. it used to be excellent in every little detail 😞 maybe we will try somewhere else next time

Situated close to the ferry terminal ideal place for a drink prior to departing the island, we did not eat here but the food that was being delivered to the tables around us looked fantastic. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and the view across the bay. If we manage to visit again we may well try the food menu
