The George in North Ayrshire

Great service & excellent food at a good price. Such a friendly place. It could do with a wee decor face lift though to make it worth 5 stars.

My partner & I had the best time , this was the highlight for me though , what a fantastic pub , great atmosphere & the nachos were the best I've ever tasted 😋 , we will definitely be back !

Lovely food & staff very good prices

Lovely, pet friendly wee pub.Introduced my sister and her partner to Largs and it was a wee bit windy! Wanted somewhere warm for a nice drink and this was our fave pub of the weekend.Staff were so nice and approachable, tables were cleaned and great COVID measures in place.Lovely atmosphere, and the fact it's dog friendly is such a huge bonus and such a social wee pub.Would definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for a comfy cosy wee pub drink/lunch. We didn't eat on this occasion but we've had dinner before - delicious and so filling!

I was in tonight. The pub was not that busy but still had 3 bar staff on which I thought was good. I was served no problem with my first 2 pints but on my 3rd one the free bar person decided her phone was more important and turned her back on me.I thought it may be important but she just stood with her back to me .There seems to be a wee bit of arrogance with certain places in Largs.

I had the most wonderful steak pie here yesterday. The best I have had in any pub in the UK over the past 40 years. Full of meat, quality gravy and the pastry was to die for. Highly recommended.

I've only visited The George twice but have thoroughly enjoyed both times while spending the day down in Largs. This second time, we had our dinner and it was lovely and they had a good selection of drinks. They had ran out of some draught lager but that is to be expected around the Christmas holiday period and with the problems with deliveries that a lot of retail and hospitality establishments have been experiencing. I'd definitely go back to The George whenever I'm back in Largs.

Brilliant being in a upgraded version of an old establishment in Largs. Very good atmosphere. We'll run, friendly staff, overall very pleasant. Was at a Christmas night out upstairs. Very pleasant night. Recommend it.

Staff very friendly. Food fine for a pub. Quite quiet so not a lot of atmosphere. But service good. (It was a wet and windly Monday)

I'm always apprehensive of going into a restaurant or pub that I've never been in before as you never know quite what to expect! What did we get?....Lovely staff, very attentive without being 'in your face' and the atmosphere of the pub was friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic. We ordered toasties which came with a side salad (coleslaw was fabulous! I could have eaten a plate of that alone!) and the option of adding chips, which we did - obviously! All of it was delicious. Toasties were perfect, generous filling and finished to perfection. We are definitely going back there to try other delicious options from the menu! Compliments to the chef and to the rest of the team, thank you for a pleasant, relaxing lunch. Only downside, the toilets, clean enough but badly need a revamp.
