WOW. This place is an oasis in the desert. Was in Arran for the weekend and got dropped off at the nearest bus station to this little shop. People were immediately lining up at 8:30am here, and I knew from the wonderful smells it was going to be something special. As a very picky vegetarian, I’m very hard to please. Ordered the celeriac and crispy shallot sandwich, and who would have thought celeriac could taste so good?! It was roasted and slightly spicy, perfectly complemented by crispy shallots and garlicky baba ganoush, with a little sprinkling of greens to round things out. A fabulous balance of textures and flavors, and even the sourdough was amazing. I was so floored by this sandwich that when I got home I had to try to recreate it. I would go back to Arran just to grab another delectable bite at the Sandwich Station!!!

Amazing food and service. Great breakfast or lunch pit stop when arriving in Lochranza or waiting for the ferry!

Oh dear.. the owner obviously doesn’t like tourists or customers in August! No smile, no ‘please’ when telling me how much I had to pay, abrupt and unfriendly. Not a hint of a suggestion she welcomed my custom. A tiny tiny hot chocolate and a skinny slice of cake £4.50. Both of poor quality.Very disappointing. I can’t believe post Covid and the lack of normal custom/ life everyone has had, that a service provider can be SO unfriendly and rude.I deliberately went there to add to the local community and ‘help’ but I sadly wish I hadn’t. Don’t recommend at all. We all have bad days but you have to smile and let the customer feel confident in buying from you. Come on Sandwich Station… lift your game and fall in love with your industry again!UPDATE…. I went back a day later and what a difference. The two younger ( owners?) were serving and it was a completely different place! Fantastic sandwiches, speedy service and a really really pleasant experience with delicious food. Glad to bring you my custom…. But not on a Sunday with the grumpy sever!😉

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life!!! Beautiful bread, stuffed with a delicious fresh filling. Plenty of vegan options (including cakes and oat milk for tea!) - a perfect pit stop.

This tiny unassuming cafe serves the most delicious selection of warm sandwiches (we had pastrami and home-made piccalilli on focaccia, and 5-spice pork on sourdough). Also sells a great cup off coffee. Very happy with the stop here and recommend it to anyone passing by. Well worth the stop!

Surprised to rock up here and have the most delicious sandwich I’ve bought in years; great bread (hazelnut) meat, and a delicious sauce.Handsome birds come to share the space too.

Possibly one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. It’s pouring it down with rain, there’s a bit of a Gail, and I’m sitting in my car washing the most amazing sour dough with five spice pork. I could eat a bowl of the mayonnaise! If you are a cyclist and come across this haven, don’t fail to stop!Coffees and cookies are excellent too. A great little place where the food is made with love!

Excellent. Home made pastrami and piccalilli wrap (gluten-free) was very good. Coffee also great.

This is a must for everyone, an absolutely brilliant find when we were travelling Arran' s coast road. We had passed by as we went to Arran Distillery travelling up the West side of Arran, so if you're doing the same route you need to an eye out for it on your right as the ferry point comes in to view, travelling from the East it's easily seen and parking is nearby. The sandwiches have to be experienced, made to order using locally baked breads and a great choice of fillings. We had a Sweet Potato and Red onion Salad with Lime Pickle and a Roasted Pork Shoulder with Szechuan pepper and Mayo both on Sourdough bread. Delicious is an understatement they were both worthy of a prize. Also a available is a range cakes including a lovely flapjack as well as having hot and cold drinks.

One of these few places which really make Arran worth a visit. Everything about the Sandwich Station is great - the location, the service, the food. Go ahead. Give it a try. 😁
