The Shore in North Ayrshire

The most fabulous place with such an amazingly warm welcome. Dogs welcomed with love. Staff are just so lovely, could not wish for a better experience. Coffee is great and the food delicious. Their cakes are a real highlight alongside their soup. Simply the best.

My husband and I popped in for lunch earlier this month. The Shore is always on our list of go to places when we visit Arran. Lovely staff and excellent food choices. The Cullen Skink with a warm cheese scone is a must followed by delicious Arran ice cream. A lovely spot to even on a dull day. Hope to be back in September.

Busy lunchtime visit, but staff were cheerful, helpful and unflustered, food was absolutely yummy and atmosphere was relaxed. View and situation are absolutely incredible! A must-visit.

Very happy to recommend The Shore. The person serving us was brilliant and the food great. They were also flexible with the menu so that we could have exactly what we wanted. We sat outside and the table and benchs were really great and the view, naturally, amazing. Will definitely revisit.

Had a lovely lunch at The Shore today. Soup and sandwich were lovely and the portions were really generous. Staff were lovely and friendly. And the view!! Such a fabulous view which is constantly changing. Really recommend.

Lovely cafe serving delicious food with brilliant views out to sea. The guys working there are really welcoming and friendly and the menu has some great choices.The Cullen skink was rich and warming and the mac and cheese was delicious.This was our second visit but I'm certain we'll visit again.

Fantastic menu with lots of delicious dishes made from local produce. A beautiful setting right by the beach and lovely, welcoming staff.

An absolute gem of a cafe with stunning views of Whiting Bay. The food is superb - from a first rate Scottish breakfast (vegan option available) to the best chips I have ever had. The service is friendly and attentive to both humans and dogs. All done in a gentle but covid-safe manner.We've travelled from Newcastle primarily to enjoy this place again. We have not been disappointed.
