The Viking Chippy in North Ayrshire

Have takeaway fish and chips from here almost every time we come to Largs. Generous portion sizes and always tasty.

Tasty fish and chips. Chips a bit pale to be perfect but I very much enjoyed my supper, good value.

Walked in on a Wednesday night just before 9pm and was laughed at and told the place was closed. No sign saying it was closed and doors still opened. Another example of the arrogance of a lot of shop assistants in Largs. They think they are only there for the tourists

Recently bought fish and chips and steak pie. Lovely crispy batter on the fish and tasty steak pie. Worth a visit.

The very best fish and chips we've ever had. Was literally perfect. Topped off by stunning views of the setting sun whilst eating them on the seafront wall. 👍👍👍

Been coming to the Viking takeaway fish and chips for years.The best ever!Unfortunately last night the 26th of July was disappointing chips fabulous felt the fish have been kept warm in the oven a little too long.Still I’ll be back!I will hath to put the fish in when I arrive so it’s fresher.

Excellent chippy, wouldn't go anywhere else when I visit Largs. We all enjoyed our meals, fish was tasty, chips were fresh out the fryer. Salt and pepper squid was a hit as well. Highly recommend.

We came here one midweek night to get fish suppers and sit on the beachfront. Just amazing - the fish was so fresh (we had to wait 5 mins but it was worth it) and the chips were delicious.It’s clean and tidy, the staff are friendly and the food is amazing.Well worth the trip for us - I highly recommend it.

Fantastic fish n chips, so fresh and tasty. Staff uniforms with aprons and flat caps very smart and cool looking, a bit cheeky blinders. No viking statue outsude when we went last week - assuming he's shielding lol (covid pandemic joke) - also good hygiene measures, queue order one of two at a time inside, given ticket number and wait outside, suitably socially distanced until order ready then they shout your number, sorted!

We ordered a fish and chips in breadcrumbs as I cant tolerate batter. The fish smelt disgusting and the taste too. I think they gave us the cheapest fish, never again. Used to be a good place but downhill now, yuk!
